Smile Today Dentistry of Nutley

I've been seeing Dr. Pilar since she took over the practice for the past 5 or 6 years....Dr. Pilar and her staff are awesome. Extremely professional, and everybody always has a smile on their face. Staff is very willing to help answer any questions. Dr. Pilar and her team of dental hygienist's do a great job of explaining what they see and developing a treatment plan that is right for you. Office is clean and modern with updated technology and equipment. I highly recommend Dr. Pilar!

My mom was in town from overseas and her tooth broke. The ladies were able to accommodate her the next morning and fix her tooth and she is thrilled. Beyond their service, she is a great dentist.

Dr. Pilar and team always make my visit pleasant! They always take good care of my and my choppers which is why I drive 45 minutes to get their service.

Smile Today: Overall excellent service! My hygienist Fatina was very thorough and gentle. The staff always make you feel welcome and at ease. Highly recommend.

Words cannot accurately express how wonderful this place is.

I have always been horribly afraid of being in the dentist office,but Kamilla, the dental hygienist, and Dr. Pilar eased ALL of my fears. As someone with TMJ, getting X-Rays can be a little uncomfortable, but Kamilla was completely understanding of my fears and made my cleaning and X-Rays as comfortable as they could possibly be. Kamilla let me take breaks when my jaw hurt and was incredibly friendly.

I didn't think my experience could get any gentler.. until Dr. Pilar walked in. She is petite and soft spoken. It is literally impossible to be afraid of her. She is a wonderful dentist who truly understands the meaning of bedside manners. I have never trusted a Doctor and hygienist as much as I trust Kamilla and Dr. Pilar. This place is so great I even scheduled an appointment for my husband!

I have to get 4 fillings, but I am not afraid. That is a first.

I wholeheartedly recommend Smile Today to anyone who may be looking for a new Dentist.

Let me preface this entire review by stating that I am terrified by dentists. I have had many negative experiences with dentists in the past.

DR. PILAR IS A SAINT AMONG DENTISTS.

After four years of searching for good dentists under my husband’s old insurance, his job switched him to a plan that brought me back to Dr. Pilar. Thank you Jesus. I had my cleaning just last week. Sadly, I now would need a root canal for a cavity she warned me about during my last visit.

Always heed her warnings.

Dr. Pilar knows that I take FOREVER to numb, so she requested two hours. Her wonderful employee (I believe her name is Danielle) told me there would be nothing for at least two months. I shared an experience with her about my last tooth that required a root canal. I told her I waited too long before getting the root canal and was worried that two months would be too long. She promised me she would keep me in mind if there were any cancellations. She did not forget, and just this morning I had my root canal.

I had a root canal done by another dentist and it was a nightmare. This time was anything but. Her and her assistant, Ashley, were so patient and so kind the entire time. As per usual, I took a while to numb, but Dr. Pilar knew that I was so nervous about the possibility of an intrapulpal injection. She was super patient with me and did everything she could to avoid it. Once I was numb, I had moments of panic, but Dr. Pilar and Ashley worked super hard to keep me calm. They were truly the best. They smiled, they joked, and they sailed through the procedure.

Overall, Dr. Pilar and her staff are worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY. They are the best and I am so blessed that my husbands insurance allows me to be treated by her again.

If you are on the fence as to whether or not you should take the leap, I hope this helps you. You will NEVER be disappointed with her. DO. IT.

I took my 3 year old son here for his 1st dental visit and the staff and doctor was amazing. From the girls at the front desk to the assistant and doctor, everyone was so kind to us and my son. I thought my son was going to be crying like crazy but he did not shed 1 tear. I would recommend this dentists office to anyone.

By far the best dentist I have ever been to from having terrible childhood trauma from dentist this dentist was amazing professional and painless and she made me feel very comfortable letting me know what she was doing I would highly recommend this office
