Smiles Forever

The staff was friendly and kind. I arrived at my appointment 10-15 minutes early. I was not taken back until 30 minutes after my scheduled time than was sat in a chair for another 10 minutes without being acknowledged other than “I will be back shortly.” I know dental cleanings is not something that should be rushed but maybe an explanation of sorry we’re running behind, short handed...something would have been better than nothing especially for a first time patient.

Do some research into other dentists in Alamogordo. There are better dental options in this town. I picked Smiles Forever because I needed some work right away and didn't look around. One of my teeth ended up being extracted and I wasn't really given much of a choice. The dentist just left it at that and I accepted it. I now have a gap in my teeth and questioning whether it was necessary. The cleanings I had over the last couple years seemed like they were in a hurry to get me out because they were at the end of the day. I had a couple sets of Xrays, one of which I was charged for. I'm not even sure they were needed now. Today I asked for my records because I'm moving and had to pay for some Xrays that were done 15 months ago. Apparently they were not covered by the insurance I pay for every month and Forever Smiles didn't ask for payment until I needed a copy of my records. 15 months later.

They say they accept most insurances. Well I showed up because my tooth was in horrible pain. I couldn’t eat or even focus on anything. I came in and mind you I have cigna and medicaid. They did my x rays and didn’t even talk about what was wrong, instead tried to tell me I should get a dental implant, that if I was going to get a root canal to just get a dental implant instead. Then they said they don’t “think” my insurance will cover the root canal? I asked for any pain reliever for my tooth, and he said to take tylenol or ibuprofen. I had to ask for a antibiotic….. Basically if you need a root canal this ain’t the place.

I had an excellent experience. I was getting dentures and the dentist did an amazing job talking me through the steps and talking me through the parts that I was nervous about. The staff is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend if you need any dental work

Excellent. Good client patient relationship. I broke my tooth and had a broken on in a molar. The Doctor sent me to an oral surgeon because I needed surgery to take them out. I'm so glad they helped me and will be fixing my teeth when I get through surgery. The people there are so nice.

From the front-end staff, to the clinic techs, to the dentists I was completely taken by surprise. These folks run a well oiled machine. They all work for us, the patient. Our concerns are their quest. If they don't know the answer, they find some one who does.

The dental care I received was top notch! I required a deeper cleaning, and thus more sedation. They were accomodating, patient and were able to complete this complex cleaning in just under an hour!

I was happy for the quick service and thorough exam. But, I have never had my teeth cleaned with a dril. I still don't like how the fluoride treatment turns my teeth yellow, but this is not the only place that does that. At least it brushes off after a few days. I would have like the Dentist to ask me more questions though. I really would like to know what can be done at my age about my moving teeth and spaces they have created between my teeth. Other than that they were all very friendly, efficient and thorough. Thank you.

This place was one of the worst dental experiences of my life. First, the exam areas and instruments did not appear clean to me, which is made even more bothersome because when I walked in everyone was just standing around waiting for me. They weren't even busy! Second, the tech that was attending to my special needs child just up and left him all alone. I don't think I saw her again. Another (nicer) tech ended up helping with him. Third, they only have techs, no hygenists, so the dentist does the cleaning. It was the worst cleaning I've had and the most miserable flossing I've ever experienced. And last, but most importantly, I was told I had cavities in two teeth. He even brought out the mirror to show me. I'm not a baby when it comes to the dentist and I'm not normally one to doubt a dentist, but something told me to get a second opinion. I just got it today and that dentist told me he could see no evidence of cavities there. He did however show me where the Smiles Forever dentist missed a very small cavity on the x-rays. Bottom line, there are plenty of other good, honest dentists in the area. Steer clear of this one!

While going to the dentist is never my first choice I loved this office. It's very clean and nice and the staff is amazing. The doctor was very gentle and patient. They are also very accommodating I thought my appointment was on Saturday but it was on Friday and I came in and they were able to get me right in. I also love that they're open Saturdays.

I am a person that usually hates going to the dentist. This place was great, they were very fast and helped me with all my questions. As long as I live anywhere near alamogordo this will be the only place I go. Ask about their whitening programs they have great affordable options.
