First visit to Taos Dental. Planning to transfer our family dental care as we transition to Taos full time. Excellent first time experience and logical diagnostics and planning for a recent lost crown. From the reception area, the dental hygienist, the dentist, to billing, all were excellent. I’ve had so many difficult dental experiences in my life, from broken crowns to cracked porcelain veneers to cavities in mouth before I was born it seemed & root canals & broken teeth from surfing accidents, basically you name it I’ve been there and had it done to me.
2020 was no different, until I went to Taos Dental Group and got Dr Morel as my dentist.
Boy, this guy went to the school of dentistry that not only taught him how to be such a great dental professional, but also taught him the fine art of perfecting what’s called, “excellent patient doctor or dentist relationships”.
Dr Morel is the king of coolness & calmness & smart articulate explanations of the work to be performed on his patients. Need I say more here. Every dental professional could learn a lot from Dr Morel.

I broke a tooth while in Taos and needed emergency work done. Dr Morrell very kindly allowed me to come in the same day that I called and promptly and very competently assessed the situation and gave me two viable options for treatment with probabilities of success. The tooth was badly damaged and one of the viable options was extraction and replacement with an insert. The other option was a crown which I opted for. My stay in Taos was limited and Crowns require two visits with lab work in between and my stay in Taos was limited. Dr. Morrell got in touch with the lab and put a rush order on their work. The actual Dental work was done very well and very accurately and relatively pain free. The crown got back before I had to leave the state and it fit first time with no post procedure grinding needed to make it fit. The shape of the crown was very challenging and I am impressed that the fit was so accurately done. So far I have had no pain or sensitivity on that tooth. I feel so positive about this experience that i am considering traveling to Taos for the next crown I need, even though I live in North Carolina.
Everyone in the office was friendly and competent and made what could have been a vacation destroying ordeal into a non-event. Thank you all for your help
