I went to get my teeth clean and had a good time with Chris I believe his name was. He’s Haitian, which I know because he made the effort to talk to me. Dental visits give me anxiety but I wasn’t as anxious as usual during this visit. He made me aware of a problem I had with my gums when most drs overlook that when I get my teeth cleaned. This was my first time getting my teeth cleaned here and Next time I come, I will ask for him.

Update: 6 month check up and cleaning. Great experience and wanted to change my review from 4 to 5 star. The staff was friendly and courteous and my teeth were in much better condition after being treated and following the advice from the hygienist Heather. My family will continue to be patients at this practice. 100% satisfied.

Original Post : I had a very positive experience with the X-Ray Technician, Dr. Markowitz and especially Heather. Heather (I think she is the hygienist) took care of my cleaning which turned out to be a scaling. She made a very unpleasant procedure much easier to deal with. She took the time to make me as comfortable as possible during the injections and cleaning. She explained everything even used a little lavender aromatherapy! She shared useful advice about oral hygiene and was very knowledgeable and articulate.

The reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is because I do believe the office is in need of some serious refurbishing and my initial phone call as a new patient was not handled well by the receptionist.

I am absolutely livid and do not recommend this dentist to anyone looking to preserve their teeth for the long run. If anyone is attempting a malpractice lawsuit, or misdiagnosis, or any other attempts to get compensation for poor dental work, feel free to read my situation and contact me. Please respond also if you also experienced something similar. This place needs to reevaluate their morals.

I am a 21 year old male, senior at Stevenson University, who has been going to this building for dental work since I was a little child when the previous dentist was there (she ended up moving out west and somehow we are stuck with Foyer, Markowitz, and Singh). When these 3 dentists arrived here, they brought a ton of new technology to better analyze your teeth and provide better insight as to what they are dealing with. Unfortunately, the dentists manning the technology can’t seem to properly identify and remedy cavities adequately. In fact, am almost certain that they dictate the kind of care they give you by first observing your insurance to see how much money they can get out of you.

While I was younger, I personally changed plans due to family reasons of which resulted in me being on a discount plan to lower the cost of treatment. When this switch happened, I just so happened to have 8 cavities sitting in my mouth, of which I initially thought was my fault and had to step up my oral hygiene. I received those 8 cavities at 19-20 years old, of when I finished. Though cavities aren’t meant to be comfortable when getting them treated, Dr. Foyer’s touch was very unpleasant and painful throughout the entire experience, however I was able to power through and get my fillings filled. On that day, I fully threw myself into their dental recommendations by getting a new electric BURST brush, sensodyne toothpaste (for an increase in fluoride), and Listerine Total Care (once again, for additional fluoride).

COVID has influenced a lot, however I called back in November complaining of pain in my cheek and gums and that I’d like to see Foyer, or anyone else, to see what’s going on and give me the treatment necessary. The front desk notified me and told me that I was unable to get an appointment anytime until January 18th, a whole 2 1/2 months after I’d initially call regarding the emergency. I ended up going to another dentist just to get them to see what is going on, just to find that 4 of the fillings placed in me are broken, 1 in particular that has decayed into a deep gaping hole in my molar, AND the remaining existing fillings remaining have decay on top and under the fillings.

Because this was Dr. Foyer’s work, I gave a to call A&B and attempt ANOTHER emergency appointment, of which they reluctantly brought me in for later that week. When I finally arrived, Dr. Foyer looked at me square in the eyes, and told me everything I knew already, and told me that he cannot do any procedures that day DUE TO THE SCHEDULE. Keep in mind, I scheduled an EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT. I AM A 21 YEAR OLD WITH DENTAL WORK FALLING APART AND NOT ADEQUATELY DONE! I DO NOT WANT TO BE BLAMED FOR THIS WHEN FILLINGS SHOULD BE GOOD FOR 10 YEARS. In addition, if this establishment truly gave the attention to detail that they’d give when finding new and exciting ways to charge you, this dentist would be the best office ever. Unfortunately, I am left with a mouth that resembles many recovering addicts and terrible dental hygiene when In reality, I was never getting my needs met, AND no one seems to care about it.

As an educator, especially looking to teach in the South as a person of color, maintaining a professional look is essential for me to maintain the respect of my colleagues, yet in a few years of being in their establishment, I am potentially looking at getting teeth pulled. This is unbelievable and truly upsetting to pass down on anyone. In addition, I have countlessly reached out to try and make a new plan for my situation, but unfortunately Dr. Foyer couldn’t pay no mind to my situation. Luckily, I will never be paying this dental office again.

Totally disappointed. First there was a cancellation for my appointment because something wrong with their staff. second time was for COVID-19 which I understand. Now today is June of 2021 and that lady at the front desk tell me that I can’t bring my child with me and if I want to keep my appointment need to get my child in the car cause can’t be waiting inside of the office. I will never go back to that place.
