I had an appointment to have a broken molar extracted on July 19, 2017--- it was on my "upper"-- and I was NERVOUS--- because this was a referral from the Dentist I had just seen!
THIS PLACE WAS WONDERFUL, they were carding, comforting, and Dr. Porter was AMAZING!! She removed the tooth before I even realized it!! And, her ENTIRE STAFF--- from when I first came into the door, to the lovely woman who helped me into the taxi! I had seen a Saratoga Springs "5 Star" dentist for many years-- and I adored him! But, now I have CHOSEN to go to this Troy Office!! I can't say enough about them!!

While going for a cleaning, she decided to give me 5 fillings and extract a perfectly healthy tooth and in the process cracked the healthy tooth next to it. I want to go to Adirondack oral surgery because I've been there several times and have never had an issue; problem is, I need a referral and she refuses to write me a referral or even return my phone calls. This is a horrible practice do not go here, for the sake of your teeth and sanity.

This was my 1st dentist appointment in 10yrs. I was nervous about going to the dentist. I had a great visit. The whole staff was amazing. They made me feel very comfortable. I will be coming back. I highly recommend this place

I, went there and my teeth in the front we're bad,so wasn't the back middle one driving me crazy.headaches,sharp pain,for months,Doctor Porter Assistant she was cool and front desk. For my bad circumstance .Dr. Porter and staff, gave me help with my pain,plus a good going to give me a good smile next visit in future.Good smart people,Thank you Doctor Porter this story has a happy ending.😀

I returned a to call from these guys 10 minutes after they called me, a woman answered the phone and tried to sound like a recording saying they're closed and hung up on me. Was 2:40, they close at 3pm.
So far just over the phone, I have experienced extreme unprofessionalism. That tells me, they have very lazy staff.
Unfortunately for me this is one of the only places my dental care is accepted. I will update this after my visit. Pray for me.

Horrible! They have no idea what they are doing, and frankly it borders on malpractice. This is not exaggerating. My significant other and I have been a handful of times for cleaning and filling. We've observed these red flags and more:
* waiting in the chair for 40min
* having to retake x-rays multiple times because the angle was wrong, or the wrong button pressed, or the wrong guide used. Took probably 3x as long as it should have, not to mention unnecessary radiation. Oh, and ever other dentist ive been to, the tech goes behind a shield when they fire the xray. Blatant disregard for safety culture.
* nurse/tech came out with dental tools on the pan, not in autoclave bags. I asked "have those been autoclaved?" The nurse did not know the word "autoclave". AT A DENTIST. I eventually got my question across "was it sterilized" and she said "of course" - "well why wasn't it in the bag?" - "i took them out in the back room". I have never been to a health facility when they didnt open the seal in the room. Sketchy!
* fillings falling out after 3 months. When asked about it, they said "that wasn't done here"
* repaired the wrong filling. Then rushed us out the door instead of fixing the right one because "have to see other patients"
* dentist flossing like she's trying to exorcise the plaque. Ow! Downright brutal
* after the cleaning, the dental exam went way too fast to actually notice anything. Like 30 sec
* after exam, didn't even bother taking the bib off. Had to basically clean up after myself.
* I'm liberal and fine with other cultures, but I expect people in a professional medical setting to be able to speak English clearly. I had to ask for things to be repeated frequently due to accent/broken English
* overall hospitality/attitude is terrible
There were more sketchy incidents that I noticed but I lost track due to the sheer number.
Take your service literally ANYWHERE else.

This place is horrible, her work doesn't last I had a crown put in that came out 6 times all within a month and finally broke and before that waiting for it took a month and now she is trying to make insurance pay for her screw up which isn't right and I'm stuck waiting and shouldn't be cause it's her screw up that has me in this situation. I suggest to find a different dentist this place is bar far the worst around and should not have anyone pay for it

The main Dentist is a very nice lady but the place doesn't operate in a Profesional manner and they only accept cash if your insurance doesn't cover something.

Nothing was explained to me. Everything was rushed. The X-rays were janky. I’ve been to an actual dentist before, I’ve never had to feel pain during a X-ray like I did.. I would highly recommend any other dentist.

Best dentist in Troy!
I highly recommend this place. Had both bottom wisdom teeth removed, was quick and easy. The dentist was very skilled. Felt no pain. Great experience, considering what was being done.
