Early this year, I made the decision to support as many female-owned businesses as possible in all my dealings. First on the list was a new dentist. Based upon earlier reviews, I decided to give Dr Willoughby a try and I still cannot believe how happy I am that I did.
From my first check-up (the most thorough I've ever had in many decades) to the subsequent extensive work I've had done over the past two months, I've been nothing but extremely pleased with both the care and the results.
When is the last time a doctor's practice sent you a personal thank you card individually signed by everyone in the office? Not only is the care of the entire staff warm, personable and extremely competent, this lovely practice offers both state of the art equipment as well as art on the ceilings! From the moment you walk into the art-filled, purple and earth-toned rooms, I think you will agree, this is the least stressful and most competent dental practice in town. Highly recommended.

I've been cared for by Dr. Willoughby and her staff for many years (over 20!) and have to say she's a very special dentist. Her patience, kindness and expertise have been so appreciated through multiple appointments and different procedures. I fully trust her judgement and I appreciate her willingness to take time to listen and care. Her entire staff are exceptional as well! Thank-you for such excellent care!

Everyone is courteous and professional and takes the care and time to make sure their work is done right. When I first came to Dr. Willoughby about 2 years ago, my teeth and gums had problems and it often hurt to chew. Now the pain is gone, my teeth and gums are stable and I know they will be that way for all my remaining years.
Thank you Dr Willoughby and staff!
My teeth are harder to clean than most and Brandi always does a patient, thorough, restorative cleaning that keeps my teeth and gums healthy.

Dr. Bare is the best. She is not only professional but she is also gentle, understanding and has the best personality. I have recommended Dr. Bare to lots of my friends. The staff at the office was absolutely perfect. I love Dr. Bare and the staff it was actually fun going to the dentist.

After years of displeasure with dental care, I have found a group of professionals who listen, engage me in the process and are very focused on making me comfortable. Every procedure is carefully explained. Every single person in this practice demonstrates through their actions that they are very intent on patient satisfaction. You are made to feel part of the process. The office is clean, modern and comfortable. They are always prompt and respect the value of your time.
After many years of avoiding dental care because of the discomforts involved, I now visit Dr Bare and her staff without apprehension. I have a bright new smile, a much healthier mouth, and far less day to day discomfort. I very highly recommend these folks. After a full year of care I could not be more satisfied.

Every visit to the dentist's office is a real learning experience. I am instructed in all the latest techniques and care of my gums and teeth. By following the instructions of the hygienist and Dr. Willoughby, I can expect continued success in my dental health. Thank you to all the helpful staff at the dental office of Dr. Wendy Willoughby.

My husband and I both have really serious decisions to make about our teeth. After other attempts, this was first dentist to include options actually affordable for us. Dr. Bare spent at least an hour thoroughly explaining the steps, pros, cons and even offered contact information for less expensive outsourcing for some of the procedures.
Also, other staff made us feel so appreciated as new patients. At least with this staggering decision ahead, we feel in confident and caring hands. Thanks to all at this practice!

I saw Dr. Bare and was impressed with her skill and professionalism. They were able to quickly accommodate my schedule for a prompt appointment. I didn't think it possible but she devised a viable plan to restore my smile, which has taken a beating over the years, literally and figuratively. I intend to return when I am released by my ortho doctor after hip replacement surgery. The staff was friendly and courteous and that may sound like a cliche but its quite true. 5 stars!

I'll start by saying that I haven't had a cavity for over 40 years and always get compliments about how healthy my teeth/mouth are. My experience as a new patient at the Willoughby dental practice was traumatic.
I made it clear from my initial phone call that I'd want minimal X-Rays. Since it had been a while since I'd had X-Rays, I agreed to the panorama and bite wings. They wanted to take 2 bite wings/side and I said I'd agree to one. The hygienist said it was their policy to do 2/side and it was required if I wanted to stay. She asked, "Are you questioning my professional abilities?" and went to get the dentist. Dr. Willoughby gave a huge push for XRays, saying she'd be liable if she didn't take them and that whether I got 2 or 4, the cost would be the same. I eventually gave in. They weren't especially skilled at getting equipment into a small mouth. Then they spread my mouth out with metal hooks to take photos.
Then the dentist did a periodontal exam, poking at my gums to measure depth and recording how many bled. She was very blunt and almost accusatory about having periodontal disease. I floss every night and my gums never bleed. She did use pictures to try to describe what might happen, but her explanations in general used terms I didn't know.
I had in issue with two teeth after having chewed on an unpopped popcorn kernal and, although I pointed to the teeth that hurt, the dentist decided it was probably the neighboring tooth and that perhaps a crown could stop the pain. No one has EVER suggested I needed a crown.
She handed me a dental plan that included thousands of dollars of work, including several return visits just to get my teeth cleaned. There is too much to type here. There is NO WAY I will return. This was the dental equivalent of going to a car dealership - all about making sales. I've NEVER experienced anything like it (except once when I went to a Chiropractor, but I managed to get what I needed there without agreeing to any year-long treatments!)
The crazy thing is that later that night, I was sharing about my traumatic visit to the dentist with a random friend. My friend said she'd had a similar traumatic experience and that she'd had 2 teeth pulled and later questioned if that had been necessary. We started comparing notes and it turned out SHE TOO had gone to Dr. Willoughby's.
Update: When I went to another dentist after this experience, I was again complimented on my great hygiene and told I did NOT have periodontal disease!

Great work! And surprised and pleased that Dr. Bare was able to complete my crown on a day that i only expected an evaluation. I was told and could see that this was only possible because of excellent work by 2 dental assistants.
