Dr. Willoughby and her staff are the best! they have been taking care of our family's smiles for 10 years. They are gentle, effective, and are on the cutting edge of the latest techniques in dentistry. I highly recommend them.

I scheduled a routine cleaning as a new patient, as it was more conveniently located. I showed up to my appointment, informed the desk clerk I had a routine cleaning and all seemed routine. After being directed to the back, it took quite a while, and after being there an hour and a half and finally speaking with the actual dentist (who was very nice) I was presented with a plan of several thousand dollars of “suggested” work after poking around in my mouth. I was then inform the cleaning would need to be scheduled ( I finally realized they had me going through an entire oral exam that I didn’t ask for) and then I was hit with a $344 bill. I doubt others will have the same bad experience but I thought I would share some advice, reallllyyyy reiterate what you asked for and know what you are paying up front.

I had a dental emergency during an extended trip to Asheville and Dr Willoughby was kind enough to see me on short notice. Everyone in her office was friendly and professional . I highly recommend her.

I took my mom in for a visit today. It was her first time at this office. Our initial impression was not the best. Had it not been for actually spending time with Dr. Willoughby we would have made up our minds that we would not be coming back. Upon spending time with Dr. Willoughby, however, She was quite warm, compassionate, attentive, and so we felt more at ease knowing mom would be under her care. Mom was supposed to be prescribed antibiotics because of the pain she was experiencing due to an infection. During checkout I was asked for the Pharmacy location and that I would be getting a call when the prescription was sent in. Our appointment started at 10 AM and I believe we left sometime around 1130-ish a.m. By nearly 3:00 PM I had not received a call so I called the doctors office and was told that it had not been called in yet but that it would be done before the end of business day and that I would receive a call. At about 10 till five I had not received a call so I called back, and was told that the prescription had been called in 15 minutes prior to me calling in and that I should wait about 30 minutes or so before the prescription would be ready for pick up. At 20 minutes after 5 PM, I called my mom‘s pharmacy and was told that there was no record of a prescription being called in gor her. The lady at the pharmacy went as far as checking all the various locations and confirmed that there was no prescription on file for my mother. So as you can see, our first impression and experience at this office and the various staff members have not gone well. I moved over a large amount of funds today based on the estimated cost for the treatment plan that was created for my mom. Based on this initial day and the lack of concern and care by office staff, awkward comments and overall reception due to mom and I being different and speaking a different language has left us deeply disappointed given the high ratings we gound on this firm and the large sum of money we were going to be paying for the procedures. It is a little after 6 PM, not long after finding out that the prescription had not in fact been called in, and I received a text message asking me to “provide feedback” and so here it is. Overall, this is been a very disappointing experience for my mother and for myself.

I went to the dentist not knowing what to expect, nervous having to have a number of cavities filled. I didn't feel the shot and felt absolutely no pain during the whole thing. I highly recommend this dentist, she is fabulous. Anybody that has a fear of the dentist needs to go here. Her staff is great and wonderful experience.

Dr Teresa Bare, partner of Dr Willoughby, took the time out of her very busy schedule to come all the way to Carepartners, where my father was rehabilitating from a broken back, to get an impression for a replacement denture! What a wonderful person!- a dentist who truly cares about her patients! Thank you so very much!

Every experience is as good as the previous visit - and that makes it better because of the consistency. Personal, caring, authentic, friendly, warm, thorough, knowledgable, experts in field, humble....... The list goes on....... and thats from a 66 year old that's been to a lot of dentists ..... including 3 other dentist in Asheville area. My last visit in May 2019 was once again a great experience finding myself realizing that, unlike the stereotype of going to the dentist, I like going to Wendy's office. I am grateful for her thoroughness, attention to detail and ability to identify issues early.

I really can't say enough good things about this place ! Everyone there is so kind and helpful. They are very good about answering all of your questions and even questions you didn't know you had. After my first appojtappoi, I even received a very nice cars, which everyone had signed. I certainly do not feel like just a number at Dr Willoughby's office. In fact, only the second time being seen, I was greeted by name. I travel a little over an hour to the office and it is absolutely worth it. I absolutely recommend them.

Dr. Willoughby as been our dentist for 13 years. We hooked up when we moved to Asheville and we have never felt the need to look elsewhere. The relationship we have with Wendy has become like the relationship you have with your favorite cousin. I'm on a "walker". On my last few visits Wendy has personally helped me with the two doors leading into her office suite. This last time my wife was waiting for me in the car, saw Wendy at the doorway, hopped out of the car, and proceeded to give and get the warmest Merry Christmas hug imaginable from Wendy out in the parking lot. Besides being an extremely competent dentist she is a warm and caring person. I can't recall a similar relationship with any other health care professional. She is truly like part of our family .

I don't write a lot of reviews but Teresa Bare has always exceeded my expectations and truly cares about her patients. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone looking for caring practitioners well trained in the latest, cutting-edge technology.
