Brixton Family Dental - Oklahoma City

My experience was excellent at Britton Family Dental! The staff was caring and gave me good advice and resources to improve my dental care.

I have a severe panic disorder and am terrified of going to the dentist, even though I have needed to for a long time. My husband was referred to Brixton Family Dental and told me how caring and compassionate they were and convinced me to make an appointment and give them a try. So after rescheduling my appointment once, he finally coaxed me into going and I am thankful I did. They didn't make me feel bad and didn't make me more uncomfortable by acknowledging my discomfort. Which for someone like me is a true blessing. I understand it can be important to try and soothe someone who has been noticeably crying, but because of the form I filled out prior to my appointment, they also knew I had anxiety about dental appointments. So instead of making me feel worse by acknowledging my tears, they just continued the appointment, treating me as if they had known me for years. That helped keep me much calmer than I would have been otherwise.
Now to get to the real important details! The dentist conducted his exam and described to me his plan of attack on my dental issues. I had basically resigned myself to giving up hope that many of my issues to could be fixed, however he is optimistic that they can be. He made sure I was completely comfortable with his plan since it was different than what I had stated I wanted done. He was willing to do the work the way I wanted it done, but he saw a better way that he felt would work better for me in the long run. I actually almost cried in front of him because he wanted to fix things in what I felt to be the harder route, instead of just taking the easy way out. It made me feel like he genuinely cared about my long term dental health instead of just making money. Maybe my feelings are wrong, but I would rather go to a dentist that makes me feel better about myself and give the impression of truly caring than to one who you can clearly tell is acting fake.
Another important part of this clinic for me is the dental hygienist who was assisting him was sweet as well. I've been to other clinics where you can clearly hear the hygienists/assistants making rude comments about clients and each other. This clinic was not at all like that. Which is amazing because you can basically hear everything. The building is currently under construction so it's not very big, and appeared to be essentially a long hall way.
I realize this post is long and I rambled quite a bit, but it's important to me that I help those with similar issues to mine understand how amazing this office is. Feel free to use me as a reference 😊.

Always takes the time to make sure I understand what’s going to happen and what is the end goal. Very professional, and Dr. Kyles assistant, Christina is just the best, she always take the time to make sure I was ok. The staff and office manager really make you feel comfortable and look out for you.

The whole staff is great. Dr. Kyle is very gentle. Ginger did the most thorough cleaning that I have ever had; she was awesome! Mario explained my insurance coverage and charges and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Brixton Family Dental.

Brixton Dental, Dr. Kyle, and the Staff are exceptional! They are gentle and caring. I highly recommend Brixton Dental.

The old song goes like this, "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth." I, however, only need one front tooth to replace the one that broke off as I was biting into a piece of pizza in late November 2021. Of course, I opted for the most complicated and most expensive of the options.

Dr. Michelsen and his staff are great. He and they are doing all they can to make sure every step of the way is carried out to the utmost perfection, and I can and do appreciate that. I don't know that this is a song, but it is certainly a saying, "All good things take time."

I heartily recommend Dr. Michelsen and his staff-- you too will find them to be professional, friendly, and caring.

Outstanding Care
The staff made time and expended additional effort for an immigrant family I brought today. They went out of their way to take care of them as a family. They ensured the family understood the doctor's instructions even though my friends did not speak any English. Because of Brixton's staff and their professionalism, I will be bringing my family to Brixton Family Dental for future care and treatment.

Awesome place! This was my first visit to an OKC dentist after moving here, and I'm very happy with my choice. Vanessa was very gentle, and Dr. Kyle showed me my x-rays and took the time to really explain them. Plus, everyone there was friendly. I highly recommend, especially if going to the dentist makes you nervous!
