I received a tremendous amount of service from Canby Smiles and got to know the staff fairly well over a very extensive processes. I am ashamed to say I neglected my teeth for quite some time and for that my teeth had suffered some major trauma. I originally had gone to Clear Choice in Portland/Tigard area. It is with great pleasure I am able to write this review and summary of my experience with the Canby Smiles business and staff.
My background: I am 30 years of age at the time of writing this review. I have a bi-lateral cleft pallet and over my life time have had many oral surgeries both cosmetic as well as structural. So needless to say my anxiety with any kind of oral procedure / care was very easily arose.
As stated above prefixing this story, I had gone to Clear Choice to see about the procedure of same day full set implants. During the time I had gone there, I feel as I was fed a bait and switch type of line of marketing. Once it came down to brass tax the company had did a complete 180 on their initial opening regards to my case. I then proceeded in further disgust with the dentistry field. I personally wanted to make this life change of changing my home care and getting my oral hygiene under control while receive an overall treatment plan. So to kick things off I wanted to start first with a deep clean. I called Canby Smiles being the fact that is local and told them a bit of the story behind what has happened. A friendly voice answered the phone (Christina). She proceeded to listen to my story and did not seem to have any kind of urge or tone to rush me off the phone. She had proceeded to explain that she feels it would be better instead of a deep clean to come and talk to Dr Wieland first free of charge. So I made the appointment. I was greeted very politely when I first walked in. She proceeded to give me the standard legal documentation that all dentist give and I filled it all out and handed back to her. By the time I handed it back to her I was greeted by another smiling face (Angela), which happened to be one of the main dental assistants there. She led me to my chair and proceeded to have a very friendly and open conversation with me in wait of Dr. Wieland. As Dr. Wieland approached he greeted me very professionally and shook my hand with a grand smile. He then proceeded to ask me about my story which I then told him. Never once did he ever interrupt me during my explanation of my prior care and story. After I finished me asked me some very important questions. I felt an amazing amount of comfort (which is totally abnormal for me) at this time. He then proceeded to poke around in my mouth examining the terrible mess that I had made of it. He would stop pause and understood my anxiety without even me having to tell him to. Constantly checking my comfort. We had discussed things in detail during this appointment. He explained that Canby Smiles has an option of General Anesthesia during any procedure. When I arrived on my next appointment. Dr. Wieland looked at all the x-rays and told me that if I had the budget set aside for Clear Choice that he would be willing to work in my tight window that I was looking to get this all done in (6 weeks from first appointment). We agreed on a dollar figure that I had even though the quote of work was a bit more than that dollar figure Dr. Wieland was gladly willing to eat the cost to have me taken care of. From there I underwent approximately 12 hours of oral surgery. I was in his office once to twice a week for the remaining time that he had seen me. He over extended himself everyday calling in favors from the lab to the ceramist about getting everything on time and even faster than normal allotments all while making sure to cut no corners. It is now August 15th and all I can say is thank you to the Canby Smiles Staff. Dr Wieland, Angela, Becca, Christina, Angel. I have an amazing smile now and my confidence back.

The best filling I've ever had!!! When the Dr. was done I was holding back tears of joy! For the first time I was able to have a cavity filled WITHOUT ANY PAIN!!! I have a hard time getting numb and that causes great anxiety for me. After today, no more! Everyone at Camby Smiles is incredible, but Dr. Wieland is my hero!!! I can never thank you enough!!!

Great dental practice. I'm not one that enjoys going to the dentist (who is?) But they were friendly, personable and made me feel comfortable.
Had a root canal here and they did everything they could to make me comfortable. Was a painless experience.

I highly recommend Canby Smiles! Dr. Weiland and his staff have been excellent. Dr. Weiland is extremely knowledgeable and kind and takes the time to answer any questions you have. Megan, the hygienist is extremely kind, knowledgeable, professional, and caring. Canby Smiles has always been punctual in keeping appointment times which is greatly appreciated and the entire staff is wonderful!

If you are looking for a great dentist with a wonderful staff look no further! They are beyond wonderful. Fearful of the dentist, they will take care of that. I just had a root canal and as you know those aren't a great deal of fun. I had the best experience by far here. I even received a follow up post procedure call to make sure I was doing well. Great all around!
