Hood River Dental uses technology smartly to improve efficiency and patient experience. 3D scans your teeth to manufacture crowns using their onsite milling machine, and mount them in your mouth on the same visit. While they were at it they repaired a filling. Fewer trips to the dentist. Dentist Ben Gonzales' technique for numbing was painless even when the first shot was administered. How's he do that?
They provided a spot-on estimate ahead of the visit and an updated statement as I walked out.
What's not to like? It's all modern, precision stuff and the people are great. Happy to provide an outstanding review!

I used to love this office, but simply put, they don't support the military by not excepting military insurance. That's easy to do in Oregon where there are no active military bases. The state is not overly pro-military to begin with. Businesses can just dismiss those with military insurance by stating, "we don't have that many military people around here anyway", until you're one of those military members who needs dental work in your hometown.
