Oregon City Smiles Dental

Wow! I broke the veneer on one of my front teeth Sunday night and flying out of town Friday morning. I was already in the search for a new dentist and happened upon Oregon City Smiles, so I sent in a request for an appointment (and a few others too).

Monday morning I received a call, and after explaining the situation I was able to schedule a new patient appointment at 4pm!!!! The team worked really hard to get me in before leaving the state!

Anyway, my appointment was amazing, an my veneer was was given a temporary repair. The original chipped tooth happened 35 years ago, so I've had this done 4-5 times so far. Dr. G did an AMAZING job, and quite frankly, this is the best my tooth has EVER FELT! :) I am one to be antsy in the chair, and Dr. G's "bedside" manner was great too. :)

I'm looking forward to my first cleaning after I return from vacation, as well as the eventual permanent fix later on down the road.

Dr. Sung and her team are amazing! I came here after several years of not going to the dentist and they fixed me right up without any judgement. Dr. Sung and her team are caring, informative, and highly skilled. She always made sure I was ok and comfortable throughout every treatment, which is so important to me because I have an anxiety disorder. The front desk women are amazing too. They are always friendly and sincere. I can’t speak highly enough of this dental practice!

One of my molar teeth had been cracked, and Dr. Sung performed a tooth extraction. She is an experienced and skilled dentist. The procedure, including the anesthetic, was very safe and perfect. Have had no pains, no side effects, but felt comfortable during my recovery. Dr. Sung gave me detailed explanations of my condition and the procedure before pulling my teeth, and Dr. Ji offered helpful and informative aftercare instructions. Absolutely satisfied and strongly recommend them. Looking forward to my next visit.

A Christmas Miracle:
I through the door as a walk-in at about noon on the Wednesday before the Christmas 2021 weekend. I had been in a lot of dental pain for 4 days and sleepless nights. I hadn't seen a dentist in many years and was scared. I had no Dental insurance, but I did have some money in the bank. The fine ladies in the reception area made me feel at ease , and helped me fill out the electronic paperwork. Within a half hour of arrival I was in back getting an X-Ray.
Dr. Ji looked at the X-ray and the two teeth in question. She recommended extraction of both. I explained that I was more than a little scared, and she put me at ease, explaining that this was a pretty straightforward process, and would take about 45 minutes. I asked to have a few minutes to think about this, and called my local support system (Sister). I decided to go with the extractions.
Soon enough Dr. Ji had my mouth completely numb. Swiftly and easily she removed the two troublesome teeth. She packed the area with gauze and explained the maintenance I needed to do for the next week or so. We set up an appointment for about 2 weeks out for a follow up.
I paid (the less than $750 bill) by debit card at the from desk and went on my way. The whole process took less than 2 hours from door to door. By 5 PM the anesthetic had mostly wore off. Sure, I was a little sore in the mouth, but the pain was now much more manageable. My sleep last night was much better than the previous 4 nights.
As I write this, I am about 24 hours post extraction, and about to complete my preparations for the holiday. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and the pain is now almost unnoticeable (with only a Tylenol). I didn't expect this.
Thank you Dr Ji and staff for a great dental experience (if there really is such a thing). They have really helped me through a tough time comfortably. Maybe I just got lucky, but I prefer to think of it as a small Miracle. I also suspect that they do this for many people all the time. I recommend this clinic for anybody. Again, thank you.

I’ve been going here for over a year now with a fair amount of dental work- a handful of fillings, a crown, gum cleaning, etc. They have been consistently kind, communicative, gentle, informative, and have given a great quality of service. Highly recommend

Dr. G & the staff were excellent during my first appointment!
I usually have Dentist anxiety due to former bad experiences but this place was warm, comforting, & very informative to my case.

Really nice space, professional and kind staff! We love both Dr. Ji and Dr. Sung. Debbie Finley is the best Hygienist! We are happy here and even better our kids love it, too.

Very friendly and thorough. They explained everything with detail and answered all of my questions. I felt comfortable and well informed on my situation and the treatment options. I've never understood why other dentists seemed to be working a private plan and not giving me all the information I needed to understand what was going on and why certain treatment plans were needed. That was not the case here. They were amazing from my first step inside the office.

Ashley is an exceptional hygienist. She helped me better understand what needed to be done with photos and explanations. I am appreciative and feel more confident moving forward.
