Second trip to Blue sky dentistry in Redmond.
This trip got all 4 of my kids in to see the dentist for cleaning and check-up and while I waited and wrestled my kids in the waiting room I was treated to a hot cup of coffee and great conversation, I know this sounds crazy but it was actually a pleasant visit to the dentist, from the front end staff to the assistant and the dentist, even my 4 year old was put at ease, Thank you so much Blue Sky

The entire staff at Blue Sky Family Dentistry is excellent. They are knowledgeable, professional, kind and understanding. Dr. van der Bunt is extremely capable and sensitive to patient comfort. The fees are reasonable. In addition to regular care, I had a difficult procedure and it went very smoothly. Definitely the best dental experience I have had.

1. Staff is great. Phone calls are answered and or returned promptly. Thanks Brittany.
2. Quick and easy X-rays, followed by explanation from the Dentist of what he is actually looking at.
3. Dr. Josh was very kind and informative. He even performed my cleaning himself. Great experience.
4. Lastly, great clean office with amazing views to enjoy.

I used to be absolutely petrified to go to the dentist! I have never been treated so well and with such kindness! I wish I could rate them 10 Stars! An amazingly short wait time and all I can say is I feel so much better after just two appointments. I hope I never have to look for another dentist! I would recommend Blue sky to everyone and anyone!

They scheduled me next day after I chipped my front tooth. The doctor and staff are so nice and they made me feel comfortable. Very glad to have found a regular dental office!

I love going here! They treat my husband and I very well and it really is just an amazing atmosphere. I have recommended my whole family here and everyone has gotten the same feeling from it. I feel like I owe them some coffee! They really do make their patients feel welcomed and taken care of ! The whole staff is amazing !

If you are a person with anxiety (especially white coat) or BP or mobility issues, AVOID this practice! In my opinion, it seems like they are offering discounts to people who write positive reviews because my experience with them was not a positive one. At all.

I disclosed right away that I have both BP issues and mobility (I sporadically use an upright walker for balance) issues. I also currently have a previously repaired chipped front tooth so my predicament is time sensitive, aesthetically speaking.

Knowing that sometimes it takes 15 mins for my BP to even out in a new environment, I emailed the staff asking if they check BP before every appointment or only for cleanings and more evasive procedures. I asked this simply to determine if I should increase my meds on the day of my appointment or not. (I understand a patient's BP needs to read in a safe zone for treatment.)

I also asked to reschedule my appointment since my last appointment was cancelled due to air travel delays.

I was told they have no morning appointments for "a couple weeks." Hearing that information was confusing for me since online - using the "emergency" appointment clarifier their staff directed me to utilize - many available appointments popped up.

Hmmmm. That sure seems discriminatory to me.

When I shared with the staff that online appointments were coming up as available, she backpedaled and told me how much they care for their patients. And I can tell you right now, emailing me to say there are no open AM appointments for a couple weeks without saying: "We can put you on a stand-by list" or "Is there another time that might work?" does not communicate even a base level of care. They know my front tooth is chipped!

As someone who has severe dental anxiety, I depend on honest reviews to ferret out performative providers who pose as providing kind, patient, dependable care from those who simply make that claim. It's not what you espouse that counts, it's how you actively treat people that matters. I suggest avoiding them.

I had my first visit today with Dr Van der Bunt and his wonderful hygienist Cyndra at Blue Sky Dentistry in Redmond. From the moment I arrived in the lovely office, I felt comfortable and well cared for. Brittanie at the front desk had all the paperwork and insurance in order. My persistent long term dental ache was diagnosed and scheduled to be taken care of swiftly. The cleaning was gentle and thorough. Their excellent website made scheduling very easy. I feel lucky to have found them.

Dr Josh is amazing. He is gentle and has an amazing bedside manner. All the staff is friendly and make you feel calm. He takes care of his patience and I very much appreciate that.

I’ve always had such a big fear of the dentist but Josh was great so gentle and really took his time to explain everything to me my problem areas the cause and effect it’s having on my teeth and gums he was very through with my cleaning and I was so comfortable once he got started that I’ll definitely be back! I highly recommend this dentist office!!!!
