My 3 year old feels comfortable here. He loves his dentist and he really loves putting tokens in the prize tower. It says a lot when he cooperates for anyone, but he at least has no issues feeling comfortable while he has his appointment. Everything about this place makes it easier for someone his age to be okay with going to the dentist.

Absolutely love my experience at Family Dental Center and am so glad I made the switch. I made an appointment in July for August 23rd. The kind receptionist was able to pull up my Delta Dental by my social, found me in their system, was able to recall that “oh you were last seen here in 2015 with Dr blah, blah. We’ll get you back with them.” Everything confirmed. I received over 4 reminders of the appointment between that day in July up to appointment date. Good. Come the day of my appointment, I leave MY hectic, short staffed clinic that I work in for the appointment. Kind receptionist greets me, has me fill out all the proper health history things, has me wait and THEN requests I meet her in the consultation room to tell me the following: “Our records show that when you were last seen here, your account was sent to collections (2015- and paid then) and our policy is that if a patient gets sent to collections, we will no longer see them in our clinic. I’m sorry, you’ll have to leave.” OK. I’m not mad at the receptionist. She was doing her job and did it kindly. I’m not mad at WHAT was said but rather WHEN it was said!!! I booked the appointment a MONTH in advance, they ran and knew everything about me right away. Why was I not told IMMEDIATELY at the time of booking that they have to refuse me services??! Instead, I have to miss work, lose pay- I’m obviously not rich as I’ve been sent to collections before- I inconvenienced my coworkers with my absence and ultimately STILL received ZERO dental care. Somebody dropped the ball in not informing me AT ANY TIME before the appointment day that I would not be seen. I’m still livid over this incident and will not recommend them to anyone as they lack proper communication and turn away people who need dental care because they went through a financial hardship. Again, I’m not mad at the very sweet receptionists. They did their job and had to deliver a hard message. But, I remain constant in my review as 1/5 stars- would NOT recommend. PS my dentist scalded the underside of my tongue at my last visit with a piece of equipment. I forgave this and came back as accidents happen. Just like financial hardships happen. Family Dental Center is not forgiving. Nor organized.
