Similar to Kendall’s review, I felt scammed by this place.

I was searching for a new dentist after just moving and needed a yearly cleaning. This place had great reviews and I was really looking forward to getting my teeth cleaned and feeling fresh.

I was shocked when they tested my gums and said I had severe gingivitis and I needed additional treatment during the cleaning to prevent my gums from rotting. I felt immense pressure to go through with the services - even though after getting a second opinion they had no major concerns or additional treatments to recommend. I have never had such issues with my mouth but this place made it seem severe and urgent urgent and in turn added hundreds to my bill. I am lucky to be covered by insurance but they charged $80-100 for oral hygiene instructions! They DID NOT make me aware of this charge before proceeding to teach me “how to brush and floss,” mind you in a very condescending tone, and proceeded to add this to my bill.

I know new patient appointments can take extra time but my appointment took over 2 and a half hours. They didn’t apply fluoride - which I paid for - and instead sent me home to apply it myself because they closed in 15 minutes and the DR had other patients to finish with.

I left in the most pain of my life from the flossing job they did, it was a waste of money and almost 3 hours of my time, and I still needed to deal with the fluoride at home.

I would not go here for a simple check up / yearly cleaning - maybe a second appointment would have gone smoother but it’s not worth the risk. If you’re a new patient here - good luck.

If I could give zero stars I would.

My sister recommended this place as she loved Dr Ochoa. There are so many things wrong with this place-
They overcharge EVERYONE. $1900 for 2 crowns. They said I “opted” for the more expensive crowns but I was never given an option.
They also have you sign waivers without letting you see what you are signing. One of these was apparently claiming I was provided with options for the crowns and I chose to pay $1200 more for the crowns to be made same day-yeah I’m a teacher-I don’t have that cash to throw around.
Despite that, the 2 crowns were incorrectly placed in my mouth which resulted in 4 weeks of pain.

I kept going in and saying something is not right-they would make adjustments, but never resolved the pain. FINALLY Dr Ochoa did X-rays and determined they were not on right whereas the other doctor was telling me she would have to do a double root canal because they could not determine which tooth was the problem. 2 weeks of temp crowns to allow my swollen and sore mouth to heal.
During all of this my insurance said my out of pocket expense should have only been $740 for the crowns. I have filed a grievance, and Brandon in the office said they have opened a formal complaint and I should hear something about a refund soon-that was months ago and now no one is responding to emails. I have serious doubts my grievance was ever escalated.

My next step is filing formal complaints with the state.

These people are thieves. I am not even sure I needed those 2 crowns at all. My sister also no longer goes there and her new dentist looked at all the work they did and told her flat out she was way overcharged. They would only allow her yo do “deep cleaning” which cost her so much out of pocket. And there was no need for it.

I would never step foot in this place again.

And the automated comment below-I’ve tried contacting the office and get the same answer for over 4 months. “We are working in your claim.”

My daughter seems the Ortho here, and I absolutely love the staff here. They take very good care of my daughter, and are well organized. It’s easy to set up appointments and the front staff are super helpful. Brandon is amazing and is always willing to help. Shontay has been great with working out issues with the insurance and payments. Great place! Would definitely recommend

Went in for severe tooth pain after being shut down immediately for being pregnant by another office. Let me tell you the staff here is AMAZING, super friendly and all very helpful. Dr Ochoa was so sweet and understanding she took me in on an emergency appointment and I was able to get my tooth extracted the same day. I have never been so satisfied with a Dentist EVER! Thank you so much for everything!!!

Wonderful friendly staff, caring and compassionate. I've a fear of getting dental work throughout my life, but this place helped me feel relaxed, and free of fear. I had the most stress free, and pain free, root canal I've ever had in my life of almost 68 years. One of my sons has a fear of dental work too, and I'll be highly recommending this dental office to him.

Great experience. The doctor (Lisa) and hygienist (Ricky) were very friendly and willing to take the time to explain key aspects of my dental health. Highly recommend.

I met with Dr. Tofighi for the first time this week, and she is very thorough and gentle. I have some dentist anxiety, and she immediately put me at ease. It's easy to see that she cares about her patients!

100% a scam. They do an extensive look at your teeth before sitting you down with a finance person to try to get you to pay for extra services and then lie and say they can't clean your teeth unless you pay extra. Wasted an hour of my day and couldn't get my teeth cleaned. Absolutely livid.

Dr. Ochoa & Ricky were amazing during my fillings and root canal! They’re always keeping me laughing and especially during major work it’s a GREAT distraction from the uncomfortable pokes and drilling. To be honest though, I rarely ever feel any discomfort even when they have to inject me with numbing because they are always so gentle.

Brandon at front desk has always been so great at communicating with break down and answered all my questions promptly and clearly. She’s so sweet! I love this office and I’d never dream of going anywhere else!

Just switched to Modern Dentistry and wish I’d found Dr. Ochoa sooner! Ricky was amazing - I will definitely request her as my dental hygienist for future visits. I get anxiety at doctor offices but she helped me to feel comfortable and talked me through everything step by step. The office was the best equipped I’ve ever experienced. 10/10 recommend!
