I will admit, if I would have read the reviews before coming here I would have not decided to come here. (Glad I didn't.)However, my experience was nothing short of amazing. My temporary filling had fell out and therefore was causing me a hurtful toothache. They were able to fit me in same day and within minutes of my arrival I was being seen by Dr. Wolfington. The price I got for a crown was about $600 cheaper than what my first dentist had quoted me. The price was reasonable and best of all, I walked out with the crown I knew I had been needing. The staff was great and I never once felt as if I were being pushed to get something I didn't need. The dental procedure was very painless and Dr. Wolfington & Daniel walked me through the whole thing. Overall, the staff is amazing, the place is affordable, and they make you feel comfortable through out your entire visit. I will be bringing back friends & family. Thank yall so much!

The staff and dentist (Dr. Sehmi) are phenomenal here. They take pride in what they do and treat you with respect. The outlined treatment plans are clearly communicated + the cost of the procedure. I'm very happy with the service I was provided and will be coming back here for future dental work.

The staff are very friendly, billing is an issue but any office owned by John Barnes will try to overcharge you. Most importantly however is the dentist. She is so friendly and cheerful the 1st time you meet her. But it ends there. When I came back for my 2nd visit, which should have been a quick 5 minute appointment, I ended up waiting in the chair for over 2 hours. She has a terrible attitude, like a spoiled rich kid or something. She's immature, condescending, and just plain rude.
While having a tooth extracted she chipped the tooth behind it. She told me herself, I couldn't feel it at the time because I was frozen. I later called the office and spoke to the office manager about having the tooth fixed, free of charge since the dentist chipped it. The dentist told the office manager that it was already chipped, she's a liar. To top it off she was flirting so badly with the young male assistant I was extremely uncomfortable, I felt like I needed a shower when I left.. Will not be going back to this office for one reason only - Dr. Sehmi. Go elsewhere unless of course you don't mind waiting for her for hours, she's not worth the wait.

Dr. Majors was a true professional. She made my options clear and my treatment plan was explained in depth to me. She quelled my fears regarding the diagnosis and took time to ensure my understanding. Charles explained my insurance contributions and what I was responsible for. Joseph was great, very personable and professional too. I enjoyed my visit and look forward to seeing them again soon.

This was one of the worst experiences at a dentist office I ever had! First, when the admin gave me the estimate of $1100 for a crown, I questioned why it was so much and that it was usually $500. She told me it was because of the type of crown they use. I needed to get back to work and didn't have time to take off and shop for a dentist so I trusted her and signed. The dentist and her assistant started the procedure and after about 2 ½ hours working on getting my tooth ready for the crown they left me alone in the chair. The assistant left first then the dentist tried to continue but after a few minutes said she couldn't finish without her assistant and also left. I actually got tired of lying there waiting for them to return and got up to stretch my legs. I found both of them working on other ppl in the next rooms. The assistant came out about the same time I was wondering around and when I asked him what was going on he said my procedure was taking too long and they had other patients to see. After protesting that they should not leave their patient in the middle of a procedure, I went back and laid back in the chair. A few minutes later the dentist came in and said the same thing that they had other patients to see. And when she did come back she didn't do any more work on the tooth (remember she tried to continue earlier and said she couldn’t do it by herself). The assistant then came back in and began preparing the temporary crown. I finally left that office after 3 ½ hours. When I got home I looked at my policy and it said I was supposed to pay $500 at most. I called the next morning and talked to the receptionist and she said she would have the office manager call me. That afternoon, after not hearing from the office manager all day, I called back and talked to the receptionist again and questioned the price to her. She said I was given a choice of the type of crown and agreed on the one they sold me. When I told her I was never given a choice she said that I signed that I understood and agreed. She transferred me to the office manager who told me the same thing, that I signed that I understood. I told her I wasn’t given a choice and to cancel the order. She said she would talk to the insurance company and call me back. After not hearing from her the following day I called late that afternoon. The receptionist said she would have her call me, which she did. The office manager told me again that I signed that I agreed and understood. She then told me again she would speak to the insurance company and would try to call me back the following day, which was Friday (this all started Tuesday), but that she had some office meeting (or something) to attend and it might be Monday. After not hearing from her Monday I figured it was a lost cause anyway and decided to just wait to see if she would ever call. She never did call me back even to this day. The procedure was on 07/24/18 and the install was 2 weeks later. This is only the most of it. There is actually more to this scenario but bottom line, I feel I was misled into purchasing an expensive crown when I could have been offered one that suited my needs for $600 less. And the rest is I feel no one I involved in this had my best interests in mind.

I transferred to AMD from a sister office in San Diego which I loved my Provider but the Admin staff was horrible. Here at AMD all staff was welcoming and kind. The billing specialist was great and explain my benefits thoroughly. I'm glad she did cause my coverage was less than par. Service are amazing and all Covid-19 precautions are taken seriously. Great customer service.

Stay away. There billing is messed up. The front desk staff is not helpful at all. They don't return your calls and they don't have explanation for absurd billing. The billing codes don't match up with standard billing codes.

If billing is one problem, the bigger problem is their hygienist and doctors. My wife visited Dr Shemi and she was disappointed with her unprofessionalism. Their was some unfinished business with her previous visit, as a due diligence she took an emergency appointment to get it checked up the very next day. Without examining, she suggested root canal should be done to reduce the pain, after persisting, she examined and found out the pain was due to some cement left over from previous day work. We eventually shifted and moved to another dental clinic a mile away and there is world of difference between Austin Modern Dentistry and other dental clinics. To conclude, please stay away.

I'm more confident in my smile! I feel like a tooth paste commercial. Growning up with little dental care Doctor Ochoa & her team have been fantastic! She given me a affordable treatment plan, taken care of problems I've been carrying around in my mouth for years and thought were not fixable. Brandon the payment specialist and receptionist was so relatable and made me feel comfortable when discussing the financial parts which can easily be as scary as getting dental work. Ashley took all my fears away with my first cleaning. She sang and educated me on good routine practices. She was gental and had excellent bedside manner. Daniel was cheery while doing my XRays and kept me company while waiting for the dentist. 10 10 10 across the board!!
