Super wonderful and friendly staff. They did a good job of making me feel so welcomed and comfortable. They explained everything so well to me and were so helpful. I also appreciate that this place doesn't give you fillings for fillings sake but wants to help you have healthy teeth for the duration of your life, it feels like they really care about you. It's always hard to find someone you can trust, but this place is one of those places. They really do take away the anxiety of going into the dentist! The updated and modern interior is quite lovely and lends it to be a tranquil and almost spa like experience (never thought I would say that about a dental office). Can't recommend this place enough!

I always have anxiety about going to the dentist but Avenues Dentistry makes you as comfortable as you could possibly be. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Porters assistants are making sure I’m comfortable with a tv to watch and headphones and even a blanket. They are very attentive! Dr. Porter does a great job and by the time the numbness wears off, I’m feeling pretty normal again. They also have the latest technology and I love that when I get a crown, I get it all in one visit and don’t have to have a temporary crown. It’s so much more convenient. Also I always get a follow up call to see that I’m doing okay after a procedure. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Johnson is the best dentist I ever had. He will personally text you to check on you. I had my filling fallen out and they were able to get me the next day. Highly recommend this office, especially Dr. Johnson. He’s knowledgeable and caring.

I chose Avenues Dentistry Salt Lake City after reading a great reviews! Tian, Cynthia are very nice, friendly and assisted me to get an appointment very easy. They let me know immediately when an an appointment is available. Jessica is very kind, caring, and very informative. Dr. Porter is very kind and professional. I also love the atmosphere. "Actions speak louder than words". Avenues Dentistry is a true 5 star.=^..^=

My hygienist, Doreen, was very informative and answered my medical questions in a way no one else had been able to. She’s also chatty in a way that really tries to connect with people and not just superficially. We had to reschedule the rest of my exam. I love the office atmosphere, very professional. And—funny pet videos while you’re sitting getting your teeth looked at. Perfect.

Been going to him for a few years. When I found out he left the previous location, I had to follow. He's the only dentist I've ever seen who takes real pride in his work, researches and stays up to date with new technologies, makes patients' lives easier and also truly cares about the care he provides. Always recommended. He reminds me of a Software Engineer as a doctor.

Dr. Johnson is excellent. So skillful, professional and kind. He takes extra time to explain the procedures and ease my anxiety (which is no small task due to past trauma). The whole office is state of the art and top notch.

I have been going here for about 4 years now. They are great with my daughter who is almost 6 years old. I was a little unsure about the new dentist because I like Dr Porter SO MUCH! Dr Porter is a skilled, kind dentist. But the new guy is amazing too and my six year old is over the moon about him. She has seen him twice now. He always jokes about putting on his green hands and other funny stuff during her check ups. He is so good with kids and after todays visit she said “Mom I was shy today but I really like hanging out with him” haha. The building has expanded and updated recently and this is a beautiful, top notch facility. I whitened my teeth today and the results are fantastic. One treatment and so white! I’m just so happy to have a dentist I trust and I know cares about patients on a different level then the average dentist. I will go here always.

This place is a true 5-star dentist office. The whole place is a well oiled machine. I never have to wait more than a minute or two after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. The dentist is great. The front office staffer is great. Just a great place overall.

I have always dreaded going to the dentist in part because I did not have good dental care when I was younger and in part because I’ve had very negative experiences with dentists. When I finally found Dr. Johnson and Avenues Dentistry, it had been after receiving several dental procedures from various dentist in the region with stellar reviews that I researched fairly extensively. I realize now how poorly executed my previous dental procedures were after Dr. Johnson spent nearly two years correcting poor dental work. The Avenues dentist office is immaculate. It’s very clean and modern. Dr. Johnson and the staff do everything they can to make a dentist appointment be as comfortable as a dentist appointment can be. Dr. Johnson is very thorough and reviewed my x-rays and teeth so closely that he was able to put together an effective dental plan regiment over the past two years that has nearly addressed all my current dental problems and preventative measures for potential dental problems. Sometimes there’s a concern that dentist are simply upselling procedures. But Dr. Johnson is very comprehensive and honest in his analysis about what dental care in his professional opinion will be the best course of action. I have followed all his advice and suggested procedures, and each time, my mouth has felt better and looks better. I notice the difference in my teeth. He’s earned my trust in his advice. He’s clearly passionate about his craft and cares enough to be thorough in his examinations. He’s extremely professional, personable and kind, which has not always been my experience with dentist. He reaches out to check on my health after procedures. The quality of care is very noticeable. I absolutely recommend him. He is the best dentist I have every seen. I’m a fan!
