I've been living on the east coast for 6 years and I refuse to switch dentists! Dr. Mouritsen has the technology and skills to complete complicated dental work quickly and effectively. The hygienists are also great, especially Kim!

We came to this dentist because of his "good reviews." Let us give you an honest review. The doctor told my wife she needed two crowns and had two cavities (nearly $3,000 of work) and I (who has had only had a few cavities my entire life) was told I have 6 cavities (right after the hygienist was saying what great teeth I have). We both take excellent care of our teeth were highly suspicious this didn't sound right. He used a device that beeps when it "finds a cavity" (laser fluorescence detector - which we later found out from the American Dental Association has a high rate of 'false positives' for cavity detection). We got new exams at another dental office with the x-rays and they only found ONE cavity after very carefully examining my teeth. My wife didn't have any cavities and only needed ONE crown fixed. This dentist mentioned those detectors have a lot of issues and will give a lot of "false positives." The office was bragging they bought a new "crown maker" and seem like they are trying to pay it off with unneeded dental work. If this happens to you - get a second opinion! He was not that friendly and our family does not trust this dentist.

We drive all the way up from Utah County to see Dr. Mouritsen. I've worked in the industry for years and have known how other dentists cut corners to save time and money. Not worth it. Dr. Mouritsen does every procedure by the book. This does not mean he's expensive, it means he is doing the work the right way. The way EVERY dentist should be doing. I worked here long enough to appreciate his method and the cleanliness of the office. Even though it has been 8 years since I worked here, my family and I will still make the drive because we trust Dr. mouritsen. He takes pictures of the decay during the procedure so there is no question of him falsely detecting decay. I refer all of my friends and family to his practice because I know they will be taken care of.

I have been seeing Dr.Mouritsen since I was a child. I'm 22 years old now and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. The hygienists are so friendly and always do a wonderful job. Dr. Mouritsen is always considerate of my questions and concerns.
