The staff and dentists and hygienists in this practice are the most friendly, welcoming people I have ever come across in any doctor's/dentist's offices that I have been to. I have now been to the Sterling and Ashburn location and everyone at both locations are wonderful. I will recommend this practice to all my family members and friends.

First of all I would like to know who these people are who are giving raving reviews to this doctor ? It is these reviews that I decided to see this doctor. Another reason never to see a doctor solely on reviews. I wanted to do my part and give my honest opinion. Please understand this review is only for the dentist not the staff. The staff gets 5 star reviews. I came to see him because I was in great pain. This doctor did not do cold hot test nor did he touch any of my teeth to determine what the source of pain was. Off the bat did x-rays and advised with 95% certainty that I need to take my wisdom tooth out and he said if that does not address the pain then we go for a root canal for the tooth next to it. The only good think he did was to also give Amoxicillin for 10 days. Total bill for the 2 tooth extraction $1200. I spoke to him the next day and confronted him why cold/hot test was not done so he said I can come back again and we will do it! Wow ! Then he called me said they also need a 3d-X-ray to see my nerves so he can do the extraction without hitting the nerve and told me to go to one of his buddy’s and get the 3-d X-ray done. At that point I went for a 2nd opinion with another dental surgeon in Fairfax. The other doctor did everything by the book and also did a 3-day X-ray. He told me, the source of my pain is NOT the wisdom tooth. Apparently, the pain was due to infection in tooth 19 and he recommended either refilling or root canal for that tooth. So that was not end of it, I went to yet another 3rd dentist in Ashburn closer to my house and she also confirmed that no need to take the wisdom tooth out. Please please be careful with this doctor. Question everything don’t just submissively agree to what they say. Because they are in the field to make money.

I would highly recommend Rios Dentistry! Many facilities are about upselling and pushing treatments. At Rios Dentistry, they make recommendations without pressure. In addition, the staff is amazing.

Do NOT go to Dr. Rios. He tried to extract 3 healthy teeth of mine and refused to listen to the services I originally needed. He pushed Invisalign on me for one tooth that naturally grew into my mouth that way and my bill would have ended up being over $2,000 if I listened to him. I asked them to put a filling into my back wisdom tooth and he immediately said it needed to be taken out (along with the other 2 HEALTHY wisdom teeth) even though the tooth itself is healthy but has minor decay. It took them 1 month to even understand what I wanted done. If I hadn’t checked, they would have filled 2 of my teeth that I didn’t even want fillings for. This is NOT the dentist you want working on your mouth. Their front desk made up lies and booked appointments for certain teeth that had NO issue. I strongly recommend finding a different dentist.
