Save your self time money and pain by going somewhere else. I could write a book about the multiple bad experience's I have had here. There needs to be a way I can post negative stars on here. In response to the reply. The tooth that came in to have filled has never been filled. They (gentle family dentistry) pulled the tooth next to it. It was not hurting the one needing filled was. A filling on another tooth came out a couple of days after they put it in. When I contacted them I was given an appointment for a couple of days later. when I went to that appointment I was told I would have to wait another 2 weeks to get it repaired. Then there is the over billing that was in excess of 100 dollars. And I'm still waiting for the refund. Then there is the time they cancelled an appointment on me and didn't bother to tell me. When I showed up for the appointment was when I was informed it had been cancelled. There excuse was that it had not been confirmed. I can show from my call logs where I called twice 5 days before the appointment.

I've got two broken teeth that is affecting me so bad that ibuprofen and Tylenol (alternated) doesn't help. I've been calling SINCE LAST WEEK to see what they can do to help me. Left voice mails nothing. No call back or anything. I'm suffering to eat cause the food gets into the opening. I told the hygienist that I can chew meats on my back teeth due to the broken teeth being my back teeth. I was told not to eat meat then she laughed. Funny you take people in and when someone needs help don't help.

I really enjoyed the dental hygienist that I saw twice at this location. She suggested using ACT mouthwash, and that has really helped me. However, I had a wisdom tooth extraction scheduled at another doctor, and the surgeon's office tried to contact this dentist for existing x-rays. The surgeon's office informed me they tried to contact the office upwards of seven times with no luck. It turned out the office was out for a two week vacation. It's absolutely appalling to leave an office totally unstaffed for two weeks. I mean, there should be at least someone to answer the phone for requests like this. Word to the wise, if you have an upcoming procedure, make sure you ask for dentist's vacation schedule because if you need anything within that time period, you'll be sunk. If the office will be closed completely for an extended amount of time, all existing customers should be notified to schedule the rest of their procedures around the absence. I did call to follow-up to inquire about them being unreachable.

They don't want to start with the teeth that r actually concerning or bothering u. They r friendly but don't have an emergency where u need to cancel because they do get short with u on the phone and appointments are months booked in between u r better off just going to the emergency room for antibiotics and calling a different practice.

Called and asked if they did wisdom teeth removal surgery and if they accepted my insurance even though I'm over 20. Was told yes to all questions. Scheduled appointment for May 16th. Drove an hour just to be told that they had called the day before to let me know that they would have to reschedule because there wasn't a dentist in the office. The day before was a Sunday, I never received any calls or voice-mail. So we rescheduled for June 21st. Got there did my xray, then the lady cleaned my teeth. She sprayed the water directly into my very broken tooth, it hurt really bad. The dentist came in, said I'm laying you back, looked in my mouth, left the room without saying anything. The girl that cleaned my teeth then came back saying I need a root canal on my tooth that 2 other dentists have said needed pulled cause it's too far gone. I asked about my wisdom teeth, she said that they look fine. I've also had 2 other dentists tell me there's no room for my wisdom teeth to push through anymore and the roots are getting close to my nerves, they have been bothering me for awhile now. She then comes back to say they will have to refer me out. The dentist I was referred to does not take my insurance. I asked why he couldn't do it there at Gentle Family Dentistry and I was told he wasn't comfortable doing it. I asked why when he said there was nothing wrong with them. They then said that he's trying to get away from wisdom teeth removal and do more root canals. I asked why they had me waste all this time and gas just to be told he's not doing wisdom teeth removal. I asked multiple times to speak to the Dr considering that the only words he said to me were "I'm laying you back" he would not come speak to me. Everyone there is clueless and rude. Total waste of time and money. There are way better dentists out there! Please stay away from these horrible people.

RESPONSE TO REPLY TO MY REVIEW:
I walked out because I was in tears because I have wasted so much time coming there. You all were just stating dentists who do not take my insurance. The Dr. could not even speak to me other than the words "I'm laying you back. "My wisdom teeth are too close to my nerves and bother me every single day. The Dr there was completely able to remove them and accepted my insurance he just refused because as you guys said, he doesn't want to do wisdom teeth removal anymore. Your plan for me was a root canal on a tooth that is too far gone. A root canal will only cause me to have to come back repeatedly and get fixed aka more money for you guys!! The only plan for my wisdom teeth was referring me out to someone else so I wasn't wasting more of my time listening to you all name of Dr's that I have already contacted.

Everyone there was very nice. They made sure I understood my procedure and that I was comfortable.

Staff was nice but the Dentist himself was very rude, blunt and arrogant. He had my daughter crying by the time we left! Also had a huge dental plan ready for my daughter and told me she would have the oral sedation, they called to confirm her appt and told me they only had her down for gas, that it would cost me over $100 each visit for the oral sedation. I won’t be back and do NOT recommend them!

Great experience with Dr. Jessup and his staff ! I hate going to the dentist, but they answered all my questions. I have some further work to be done and I am actually looking forward to returning. Thanks
