My experience was overall great. I was extremely nervous in the beginning being that I haven't had an extraction done in a while. Dr.Jane made the experience pleasant and less weary...she was quick and precise...I didn't even know the tooth was out it happened so quick...

This place is great! Took great care of me. I had two teeth pulled.... NO PAIN AT ALL! The dentist is awesome! This is a great place to go. They are very clean, I mean spotless and everything shines. I had no insurance and it was still cheaper than going to VCU! $400 two teeth removed, Xrays and exam! Can’t beat it. If your teeth were not decaying like mine it is only 100 per tooth, mine were bad and cost 150 each! I am recommending this place to EVERYONE! I already Told 2 people! I will be coming here for all my dental needs! Thank you so much, you all rock!

Last weekend I had a broken tooth that was infected and excruciating. I chose this office because of its reasonable prices and ability to see me quickly, but I will continue to use this office due to the outstanding service I received. Everyone was personable, professional, and kind, from the receptionist to the nurses to the amazing doctor himself. The procedure was very quick and very nearly painless. Even my recovery was speedier than expected! My deepest gratitude to the entire staff for making a horrid situation the best it could possibly be. Kudos, kudos, kudos!

Driving about an hour was worth the time. Dhakar and his assistant were great. It took under ten minutes to be prepped and extracted, with no pain at all. This office has a great atmosphere and great staff. I recommend this office for anyone who want services of extractions and/or more. Thanks Dhakar and team!

I was in desperate need of an endodontist in the Richmond area that accepted adult Medicaid. After going through the entire list of referrals that my dentist gave me, not one of them accepted adult medicaid! I called about 10 more numbers from Google, before finding Dr Dhakar. I noticed that Dr Dhakar's website mentioned that they accepted adult medicaid. In rva, that's almost like finding a unicorn. I called and spoke with the front desk assistant, who did inform me that they accepted adult Medicaid and do provide services for root canals. Unfortunately in my case, they had to refer me somewhere else. Even though that they didn't need to, the receptionist was more than helpful! The other 15 plus dentists that I called, would take me through the intake process, only to let me know at the end of the process, that they did not accept adult medicaid, nor did they try to further assist me. The front desk assistant at Dr Dhakar referred me to an endodontist that accepted adult medicaid, GAVE ME THEIR NAME AND TELEPHONE NUMBER and I was able to get an appointment within 10 days! Even though this doctor could not help me directly, they were courteous, kind and most of all professional enough to send me in the right direction, to get an appointment, so I could get my root canal done. Exceptionally professional and courteous. I would definitely use this location for my dental services. If they go that far and beyond their call of duty, FOR A NON-PATIENT, then you know that they're going to do the same for an existing patient of theirs, for treatment needed! Being a seven star Google guide, I read through the reviews about this location. I noticed that the very negative one-star reviews, the majority of those people were basically making their very first Google review. The reviews that had high ratings, were people who are Google guides just like me. GOOGLE GUIDES ARE RELIABLE EVERYDAY PEOPLE, that have spent the time to review AT LEAST 70 or more multiple businesses and services. I'm providing you this information about Google guides, so that when you are going to a business's Google website, and you see these negative reviews, check to see how many businesses that person has reviewed and if they are an official Google guide. That's the whole concept about being a Google guide, is to provide reliable, truthful non-bias information about a business. Word of mouth is the best form of advertisement, it's free and reliable. High rated Google guides are exactly that.

Heard great things about the dentist themselves but the first point of contact THE OFFICE MANAGER ALEXIS is NASTY. I've had very bad experience with dentist in the past so it's given me a phobia of dentist. When I was told that I needed to make a same day appt in order to see a dentist I was totally understandable and fine with that. Even with trying to be nice to the "young lady" and (I use that term lightly) she was very nasty and impersonable. It's sad that such a great group of dentist have such a nasty first point of contact.

Dr.Dhakar told my mother she had 5 cavities and that turned out to be a lie. I stopped coming here after we found this out. Two other dentist offices said there are no cavities in her mouth. Those two came to the conclusion that the dentist who told her she had cavities is dishonest and was just trying to get paid for filling her teeth. He was going to mess up her perfectly good teeth to make a buck. Very shameful.

Dr Dhakar and his entire staff are awesome!! I called at 10 am this morning needing an extraction.I was in a lot of pain.the receptionist,who was also awesome,got me a same day appointment at 12:40pm. I arrived 10 minutes late,yet was still greeted with a smile and told we'll get you to see the dentist soon. I waited only about 10 minutes or so,then my name was called.I got an ex-ray,then met Dr Dhakar. He is very personable,and very nice!He explained everything and even took the time to answer my many questions about how I can make my mouth healthier going forward. The extraction was very quick and more importantly,it was painless! He gave me a prescription for something to help the pain,but I dont need it,as its 5 hours later and I feel no pain or discomfort. I also need to say I dont have insurance.And I dont have a lot of money.The cost for everything today,ex-ray,exam,extraction,everything..was $190.WITHOUT INSURANCE!!! There is no justification for dentists who charge way too much,and cant see you till its convenient for them.And even then youre just a number. Dr Dhakar treats you with respect,like a person.He shakes your hand,he talks to you,not at you.If you need dental work,call Dr Dhakar. You will be happy you did!! You will get great treatment and you will save a lot of money!

First time visit to the east end office, and the experience was great. X-rays were a little difficult to do but they allowed me to help guide the instrument and it worked. I love medical offices that are informative, and will educate you throughout the process. All the staff members were super sweet and welcoming.

I had a wonderful experience. As a person who is terrified of the dentist Dr. Surya Dhakar helped reassure me that everything would be fine. He kept his word and was able to complete an extraction with no pain and very quickly. His staff was wonderful as well.
