Hamouri Cosmetic & Family Dentistry

I had a long appointment yesterday because four crowns on my upper front had to be replaced. Dr. Hamouri is so incredibly skilled and gentle that I felt no pain at all. She is so friendly and patient also and addresses all of your concerns and questions. I think that she saved one of my two front teeth. It had been bothering me and I was sure that I would need an implant.
I cannot finish this review without mentioning Courtney, the Dental Assistant who worked with me yesterday. She could not have been more efficient and kind and she did a great job with the temporary crowns, which look better than the originals. She is always super nice. Sasha and Lauren are great also!

I was with Dr. Bowler since 1999, and he regularly went above and beyond in his treatments for our entire family; I was very sad to see him leave (although he definitely deserved his retirement!). Initially I was pleased with Dr. Hamouri, but then our family had some negative issues in regards to recommended services and the expense of said services. Mine was that Dr. Hamouri said I needed to replace *all* my old fillings with new amalgam. The first quote I received on my co-pay was $800. I went in to the front desk to ask about it, as it seemed very high. This time I was quoted $500 as my share. I got a bad feeling about the rather significant difference in the cost quotes, as well as the actual necessity of replacing *all* my fillings, to the point that I actually switched to a different provider. This dentist told me there was absolutely *no* need to replace any fillings unless they became problematic. Dr. Hamouri is a very nice person, but I no longer felt comfortable with the practice. (Apparently I'm not the only one, as I know of several families who have also switched to a different practice.) Judging by the other reviews, I'm in the minority. This is the first time I've ever changed providers based on a gut feeling, but for me it was the right thing to do.

Our entire family absolutely loves Dr Hamouri. When my Dad, Dr Bowler, retired I was quite nervous .. however, she is simply wonderful! I feel extremely well taken care of and feel equally as comfortable as I always was with my Dad. We are beyond thankful and blessed to have Dr Hamouri in our lives and there to take care of us! Excellent dentist!!!

I have been using this dentist office for over 40 years. Dr Hamouri has done a fantastic job after taking over the office when Dr Bowler retired. Dr Hamouri is very caring and professional. The entire staff is friendly and helpful in all ways possible. Highly recommend their services.

Quality and care of procedure for 2 temporary/permanent crowns was the best! Communication about the procedure , especially at the beginning and before permanent crowns needed much improvement from the dentist and mostly from the office! I have health insurance but no one discussed billing/costs until the day I walked into the office to have my temporary crowns and was handed a bill for over $3000! This was extremely upsetting to me a few minutes before my procedure! I have never had anything similar to this happen to me anywhere! I have been going to this office since 1977! I didn’t expect to be treated like this and didn’t think to ask questions! Now I know to expect this treatment! It’s very disappointing to me.

Dr Hamouri and staff are always so compassionate, thorough and professional when taking care of my elderly mothers dental needs. They truly care about their patients! Grateful they are able to accommodate my wheelchair bound elderly mother and for all the great care they provide to her.

A great experience - going to the dentist is actually fun for my kids! Everyone is attentive and very friendly. My son just got Invisalign and Dr. Hamouri addressed all my concerns with regards to tooth discoloration and worked with me to have him under special care during that time. Highly recommend it!

Staff are amazing. Dr. Hamouri clearly is top-notch, AAA and their work speaks for itself. If you want an amazing office with a Dentist who is beyond great at their craft, look no further.

Dr. Hamouri is very attentive and kind. She responds to winces and grunts since I really can't communicate with hands and tools in my mouth. I liked Dr. Bowler, but he said my fillings needed to be replaced and never would schedule it. I had said let's do it, but he didn't. Dr. Hamouri gets it done. (The crown procedures have taken a LONG time though. I think the supply chain is still disrupted.)

My first experience was 2 years ago and I had a assessed tooth while visiting family in Poquoson. It was late in the afternoon when I walked in and they made room and fitted me in…it was after closing by a hour or more when they finished.
I now travel here for my dental work..3 hour drive.. that impressed I am with the quality of their work and service.
