PLEASE READ THIS FOR AN HONEST REVIEW - I had been going to Dr. Wilma for 4 years. her practice was great and well managed. Since she has left their office has been managed in full chaos. The new management hardly answer their phones and rarely responds to emails. Even my new dentists office couldn't get a hold of them to send over my dental records. I had an appointment scheduled one morning and the door was locked and no one was there. No one had returned my calls until days later to address the missed appointment. and then tried to blame it on another patient locking the door on their way out - which doesn't explain me knocking and calling for 45min with no one ever coming to the front desk to see me at the window. At my rescheduled appointment there was no warning or information shared that Dr. Wilma was not going to be my dentist until I was sitting in the chair. And to top it all off - they tried to charge me twice for services that were never done, tried to charge me as out of network, and sent a debt collection notice all for things that I had been calling about and disputing for 9 months. This place is completely mismanaged. I would not recommend going here for any dental work.

I highly recommend Laurelhurst Family Dentistry if you are looking for a new dentist. The office is conveniently located, and although the office is small, it is very well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the doctor is knowledgeable, patient, and kind. I have a lot of anxiety around going to the dentist, but Laurelhurst Family Dentistry makes the experience as pleasant as going to the dentist can be.

The recent negative reviews for this office are accurate. The front office's high turnover and subpar handling of billing and payments coupled with militant like disregard for the patient experience left me appalled. It took them almost 6 months to attempt to bill my insurance, a claim which was understandably denied because it turned out I was maxed. Prior to that I was repeatedly told by the office that I was all paid up. The surprise bill I received 2 days ago was already deemed 90 days delinquent despite my finding out about it right then and there for the first time. Then, they threatened me with collections and attempted to shift the blame on me by essentially saying I did not understand my insurance plan. The discount listed on the treatment plan from last June was not applied. In the end I paid what they wanted because I just wanted for the nonsense to end. It wasn't worth the mental energy. If anyone is interested in seeing the emails let me know.
If you're a new patient, look elsewhere. If you're a current patient, reconsider. As of today I am no longer a patient at this office.

I recently made a new patient appointment and verified they accepted Dentegra insurance. A week later I received a $439 bill. After speaking with my insurance I found out Dr. Huang is not actually credentialed with Dentegra, the two dentists who are were no longer practicing there. I was scheduled with a dentist they knew was not with my insurance company and then charged full insurance price for the visit. The front desk lady told me they just found out he was not in network yet they were still scheduling patients with him before having that confirmation. They reduced my bill but refused to waive it even though I walked out of that office on the day of my appointment reassured that my exam would be covered by my insurance. It is incredibly unprofessional to do this and then not waive the fee for your own mistake. I will not be returning and highly recommend others find a more professional office as well.

STOP STEALING MY MONEY!!! Do what you need to do to fix the issue! Iβm not paying anything for nonsense.
Irresponsible front desk. Never pick up my calls. I have to follow up several times through the email but then she even doesnβt respond to my email. And the issue is that they charged me twice for the same appointment. They also didnβt submit the insurance claim correctly so I could not be covered for the service. Then I received a bill from them which asked me to pay full amount twice out of my pocket. Everything became unprofessional since Wilma left. Even the cleaning service was not as good as Wilma did. Ridiculous place, avoid it!

I came in for routine teeth cleaning. Dr. Huang took time to go over X-ray images with me and explained his findings. His assistant polished my teeth and he did the plaque removal. I felt welcome at Laurelhurst Family Dentistry. The place is conveniently located near University Village. I would recommend this practice.

Highly recommend this place for dental care for several reasons: cost of care, staff is extremely nice, office is beautiful with big windows (my cleaning was on a sunny day and the huge windows allow you to see traffic just below and hopefully feel the sun shining on you - a very nice distraction IMO), parking available on-site for free, basically no wait time (mine was less than 3 minutes or so), high tech equipment used and the dental care itself is exceptional. When I called for help finding the front door the front desk employee was extremely kind and patient. The dental assistant, Ari, is very funny and personable. She was fun to joke around with and it helped me feel at ease. They have this high tech machine that scans your mouth and Dr. Wilma uses this 3D scan of your bite, her exam and the X-rays to get a full picture of what is going on with your oral health. During the cleaning Dr. Wilma was gentle and asked me several times if I was okay. I appreciated how she and Ari were cognizant of the sensitive areas of my mouth during the exam and cleaning.
I was most appreciative of Dr. Wilma's approach to care, where I had been previously told I NEEDED to have work, she suggested monitoring stable teeth. She answered all of my questions and was totally willing to discuss my desires and cater my future visits to what I NEED to have done and what I want to have done.
If you have dentist anxiety, I highly recommend this office. They do a wonderful job at making you feel comfortable and have your best interests in mind when recommending any dental work.

Dr. Wilma is an amazing dentist. She is so thorough, patient, thoughtful and friendly! She takes great care of her patients and Iβm slowly converting my friends to Dr. Wilma believers. ;)
Though the front office folks could use better organizational skills and communication.
ββ 1. I was charged for a service I didnβt receive
ββ 2. Then they got my appointment mixed up with someone elseβs and transferred my call directly to Dr. Wilma.
ββ 3. I was also promised a call back about an insurance coverage question, but never received the call
Pros and cons, just like life.

I had a great experience at this office. The receptionist, Cheekah was so helpful with figuring out my insurance details and breaking down all the info clearly for me when my appointment ended. She went above and beyond and was so pleasant. Jason the dental assistant was awesome as well, and did a great job. My dentist was kind, gentle and efficient. Great office

Dr. Wilma is fantastic. She is patient, kind, super focused on making sure I was comfortable the entire time and very friendly. I referred a coworker who is afraid of the dentist to her after seeing her and he was so happy with how gentle and thorough she is. All of her staff a friendly and do good work. I highly recommend Dr. Wilma and Laurelhurst Family Dentistry.
