Dr. Shen has an amazing aura and kindness about her that is greatly lacking in the medical field. On top of her being a wonderful human, she is exceptional at her job. She took care of my issues very professionally and made me feel extremely comfortable. Her assistant Amber was also very kind and professional at all times during my two visits at the office. I had a great appointment with Dr. Shen and Jayson. It wasn't painful at all and they used up to date equipment to take x-rays and perform scans of my teeth and gums. After my appointment my mouth wasn't sore at all, like I've had from other dentists. I recommend 10/10.

My experience with Laurelhurst Family Dentistry was outstanding. I will first admit that I have a fear of the dentists office, especially in the time of COVID-19. However, the folks at Laurelhurst made me feel at ease with their kindness and professionalism.
Upon arrival, I was greeted at the front desk by Chekah, who was ready for my arrival with my pre-filled out documents in hand. With a warm smile (behind a safeguarded face mask), she handed me a couple of short forms to complete. I sat down and quickly filled out the paperwork. Just a moment later, I was taken into the exam room by my technician, who took pictures and x-rays of my teeth. She was a pleasure to speak with and was very gentle with the procedure. Shortly after the initial imaging, I was seen by Dr. Shen.
Dr. Shen was incredibly patient with me as we went over my pictures and x-rays in detail. After discussing my treatment plan, she proceeded to clean and check the overall health of my teeth and gums. It was determined I would need to return a week later to repair a chipped tooth. Leaving the office, I felt such a sense of comfort that my teeth were in good hands. Chekah was waiting for me with my paperwork (and another big smile) once I was finished with the exam.
Overall, I would have to say that this is one of the best dental experiences I have ever had. Dr. Shen and her team are a talented group of professionals and I am so happy to say that I have found my new dentist going forward.

Went to Laurelhurst Family Dentistry twice now. The clinic is clean, the front desk person was professional. Dr. Shen is great with patient and knowledgeable. The visits were smooth. I would definitely recommend her.

I recently made a new patient appointment and verified they accepted Dentegra insurance. A week later I received a $439 bill. After speaking with my insurance I found out Dr. Huang is not actually credentialed with Dentegra, the two dentists who are were no longer practicing there. I was scheduled with a dentist they knew was not with my insurance company and then charged full insurance price for the visit. The front desk lady told me they just found out he was not in network yet they were still scheduling patients with him before having that confirmation. They reduced my bill but refused to waive it even though I walked out of that office on the day of my appointment reassured that my exam would be covered by my insurance. It is incredibly unprofessional to do this and then not waive the fee for your own mistake. I will not be returning and highly recommend others find a more professional office as well.
