If this rating was just for the dentist it would be 5 stars. He did an amazing job and was extremely polite. His assistant Janet on the other hand not only sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy but she also didn't even send until an hour after I left the office. I was in extreme pain for 2 hours after my appointment because of her.

If I could I give a family dental zero stars! My appointment was at 2:00 p.m. I didn't leave until a few minutes before 5:00 p.m! Took two dental assistants to do the task I believe maybe one. One of the dental assistant seemed very unsure of her duties... Her role. That gal got product half my mouth inside and out.
Burned my skin. Never did they gals apologize... one of the gals sat sorry or excuse me for her lack of knowledge or experience.

When I first walked in I was nicely welcomed with smiles, and only had to wait a few minutes before I was called back. After looking at my X-rays Dr Flinkman came in and introduced himself and was so nice, empathetic and honest even when the information was not the best news. He told me what my options were without beating around the bush, and let me know the pros and cons of each. He made me feel comfortable and that he truly cared, and that is so hard to find when you pay with Medicaid. Going to the dentist will never be my favorite thing to do, but I won’t mind as much going back to Yakima Dental.

All of the staff were kind and efficient. Didn’t have to wait long and they were easy to access with my state insurance.
Just a word to the wise, they only do amalgam (grey) fillings if you are using medicaid. I didn’t find this out until my mouth was already numb and I decided to call off the filling because all of my prior ones had been white.
I’m sure it was an honest mistake, but might be good to double check ahead of time.
However, I would still recommend them for exams or cleaning, especially since they are one of the only places I have found to take Medicaid for adults in the area.

They were insanely gentle, talked me through everything they were doing and honestly so accommodating to my anxiety. I have a terrible fear of dentists and these guys put that to ease. I would recommend to everyone especially those with mental health issues. The staff are fabulous

I brought my daughter to the dentist at Yakima Family Dental. She was referred to the oral surgeon. The dentist pulled all the top molars. She has to return in a week to get the bottom molars pulled. My daughter had a lot of infection so dentist prescribed antibiotics before she had the teeth pulled. She was given some pain medication which we were grateful for after her teeth were pulled. . This dentist office is easy to get into with state insurance. My daughter received excellent care . I would highly recommend this dental office. Lastly the reception are nice and helpful.

Everyone from the receptionist to the dental assistant to the Hygienist to the doctor was kind and really friendly. I felt really comfortable all throughout my surgery. They kept asking me how I was doing...if I was doing good. Definitely will recommend. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

I felt both the dental assistant as well as the dentist were warm and friendly and did not seem judgemental about the horrible shape my teeth are in. They were respectful and informative regarding my course of treatment and what to expect. It was a pleasant experience all in all. I liked being able to do the paperwork on line before my appt. I get some teeth extracted tomorrow so we will see how that goes!? Thank you, Patricia

Getting a tooth extracted was the best day of my life lol. However thanks too all the staff it was quick and almost painless. Doctor paul is an animal! Im not a squeamish person but i dont think I could do that to another human being. Thanks to all of you.

Amazing Service from booking, to checking in and The Anesthesialogist explaining everything to The Dr telling me how My Son did and everything we need to know for post op care down to My Son getting wheeled out to the car to make sure he didn’t get hurt. Amazing Service over all!
