5 stars for Dr. Austin and his hygienist Kathy! They are terrific. So why 3 stars overall? I have lately become very aware and sensitive to the needs of anyone with any mobility issues. The large waiting room at Chalet is impressive and sort of empty and spread out with many low, upholstered chairs. The only chairs for any one who is older, has a handicap, or mobility issue are 3 taller plastic and uncomfortable chairs. Totally unacceptable and disrespectful to a growing aging population. It's not like it would cost that much to make waiting comfortable for ALL patients. I asked Dr. Ross to pass my objections along to whomever might care. It's not his decision to make. I also made it clear that I was going to pop in before my next appointment and if the situation hasn't been addressed I will take my business elsewhere. Good grief! It's a still new facility and they must do better. I also suggested they go next door to Heart Central and see how they addressed the problem. I've been with Chalet for decades and I really don't want to go elsewhere but I will. Time for them to be more sensitive to the needs of others.

I had made an appointment and when I arrived I showed my new insurance. And immediately the receptionist says they don't accept that insurance for adults. I asked if I could pay out of pocket. She nodded no said sorry and walked off. I was shocked, and since I hate confrontation I just left. The fact she didn't bother to work with me to see if we could do some sort of payment plan was unbelievable since online it clearly states they offer that. Also I had double checked my insurance, I was covered for a cleaning & exam, no where did it say I had to be certain age for that. And at the time no where did it say my insurance wasn't acceptable if you're an adult anywhere on the website. No idea why I was treated that way & turned away. I left disappointed & embarrassed. And I honestly liked the Dr I had & his staff. The receptionist (if she was even that since when I arrived everyone else was taking calls or were busy) I hadn't interacted with before the last time I had visited.

Dr. Ross Austin is the best dentist I have ever been too. His bedside manner is so professional, easy to talk to and very easy to trust. I believe her name was Mia, she was my dental hygienist and she was probably the most caring person I have ever met. I truly love this place.

I don’t like going to dentists at all but when I go to chalet dental they make it more easy to go to the dentist. Dr. Ross is amazing and knows how to make my visits way and comfortable for me. The staff is amazingly friendly and know you by your 1st name!

I find all of those who work at Chalet Dental, including all those at the front desk , the dental assistants, the dental hygienists, and Dr Gutmann, to be very professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and really kind.
All are very patient.and take time to explain my dental needs, making sure I understand my plan of care, and giving me a plan for success.
My daughter also receives her dental care at Chalet Dental and likes them very much.
