Affiliated Children's Dental Specialists

My son was 18 months and my daughter 3 years when we started going to Affiliated Children's Dentist. We live about 30 minutes away, but our visits are more than worth the drive! I cannot believe how my stubborn 18 month old (I have the kind you cannot hold down for a second without a full out tantrum) allowed Dr. MacLean to work in his mouth. He laid there like a perfect angel, which I attribute entirely to Dr. MacLean's bedside manner and the comfort we all felt the moment we walked into the office. My then somewhat timid 3 year old sat in the big girl chair like a champ and on our second visit had to undergo a minor procedure, which she also handled with no crying, whinning or otherwise acting out. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with the entire staff at Affiliated Children's Dental. We had originally started at dentist office that doesn't specialize in meeting the needs of children. I just thought she would follow what Mommy did and not have any issues. That was not the case! I completely recommend making the extra appointment and (drive if you don't live close) to bring your children to Affiliated Children's Dental Specialists. You will be amazed at how comfortable your children will feel the minute they walk into the office.

Special Needs child Review: I understand my child is extremely difficult compared most children. But they are listed as Special needs dentistry. My child has severe teeth problems because he hates to have his teeth brushed and it's a very difficult task to do, and flossing is impossible. But when I requested X Rays to be done they refused to ATTEMPT TO EVEN TRY! Two separate screenings and absolutely no attempt to try to xray a child with probably multiple cavities. They only gave me excuses on why they don't think they can.
I brought him in before my 2nd screening because I noticed his back tooth wasn't looking good ( he had previously had a cavity protective coating put on, by them) They had difficulty seeing anything and told me it was just the cavity coating making it look that way and to come back for his next exam. When i got home I took a better look and felt like there was more wrong with it but just went with what they said. Now my son has an absess on that tooth that needs to be removed and they had to refer me to an another special needs dentist. Now i have to do the terrible process and start all overall over again. This new dentist seems great. Happy to attempt to get xrays for my son . Hopefully all will go well and this can be my new dentist. I really wished I pressed more for them to get a better look at the tooth before it became an absess. So upset we have to go through all of this and that my son has to suffer with tooth pain waiting to start this new process with the reffered dentist.

I am disappointed with this office. I missed 2 appointments and that is on me, but I was able to get one of my children in. I explained to their office manager what happened and that this has never happened to me before. I even offered to pay a fee for the missed appointment because I did not want to find a new dentist. But they decided to dismiss us. That is totally within their right but I think it stinks. Sometimes life happens. Thanks for the understanding. I am disappointed.

Seven years ago, Dr. MacLean was recommended as to me as a wonderful dentist to take children to for their dental appointments. First, I was impressed with the activities in the office which the kids adore and I also noticed that it was clean and orderly. I was invited into the area where my daughters were having their teeth cleaned. The staff was so nice and interactive with my daughters. I could see that they were enjoying this experience. Dr. MacLean was thorough in giving me information and stayed to answer my questions and even socialize. I can see that she truly cares about her patients and their families. The greatest thing is that my daughters love going to the dentist...A mom's dream comes true!!! It is always so rewarding when the girls get to pick their prize from the machine and walk out with happy smiles after each appointment!

I have been taking my 4 year old twins to ACDS since they were 10 months old. The doctors and staff have always made us feel like family. The office has so many fun activities for kids of all ages (mine don't ever want to leave!). I love knowing that everyone's fully capable of handling each of their special needs. My children always wave as we drive by and look forward to the next visit! Thanks Affiliated Children's Dental Specialists for always going above and beyond to give us the best care!

Let me first say that my children did not like going to the dentist, until they met Dr. Daitch and her staff. We have been thrilled with our entire experience. The office staff is extremely helpful and really work together as a team. Dr. Daitch and her dental staff take their time with each of my kids and have made them both feel so comfortable. My kids don't give me a hard time anymore when I say we are going to the dentist!!

I never usually put reviews on places but i must say i am so so so thankful to have my daughter experience her first dentist appt here!! They are genuinely great caring people. Dr. MacLean is so sweet and so good with what she does along with the other dentist(apologize for not catching your name) thank you both !! And everyone in the office. I look forward to taking my daughter here!!

We have loved our experiences here; the staff is very friendly, kind, and willing to answer all of my questions as a parent. My girls needed "extra" care beyond a routine exam cleaning, and they both only have fond memories looking forward to their next "visit"! We have been to several pediatric dentists in town, but this place has exceeded our hopes. Dr. MacLean and team truly "care" for each patient. Thank you!!!

I’m so happy we found Affliated Dentists and especially Dr. MacLean! We had a horrible experience at our previous dentist and caused our already anxious daughter more anxiety about seeing a dentist. When we first visited Dr. MacLean she didn’t want to do anymore harm and only peaked in her mouth for a moment and got our daughter comfortable with the office and staff. We are so appreciative of the time she took to get her comfortable with going to the dentist again. Her entire staff has been patient and accommodating therefore I’d highly recommend this dentist to anyone. Not to mention Dr. MacLean’s fun personality makes the dental visits even more tolerable, she has both of my kids giggling in the dentist chair which I didn’t think was ever possible. After multiple special needs pediatric dentists had disappointed our family with their poor bedside manner, scheduling issues, and Aggressive/ unnecessary treatment options, we brought our special needs daughter to Dr. MacLean about a month ago. I can’t say enough GREAT THINGS about Dr. MacLean’s professionalism, thorough review of the procedure options, and just overall concern/thoughtfulness for my daughter’s well being and safety. Our daughter is a very difficult customer...and Dr. MacLean and her team kept their composure and positive/encouraging energy throughout it all. I’d certainly recommend this office to my friends with typical and special needs children.
