Canyon Vista Dentistry and Orthodontics

The folks at Canyon Vista are awesome! Dr. Cefalo is great, very knowledgeable and so easy going it really feels like he cares about the health of your teeth. I had the pleasure of having the help of both Josh and Courtney as well. They were so sweet and very up front with me with not only what the best decisions are for my teeth but also the costs of it all as well. I think I may have found my go to Dentist office in the valley!

Great experience, I’ve used Canyon Vista for many years and it has always had positive experiences. The staff is pleasant & professional, Lisa my hygienist is great and Dr. Hoopes has been terrific with my dental care. Highly recommended!

The staff was very friendly from walking in the door to sitting in the dental chair. I had a bad experience with a different orthodontist trying to "make my tooth pretty and blend in with the others". However, Canyon Vista took the time to match the color and placement to veneer the tooth properly the first time. My smile has never looked better. 10/10 recommended this dentist and orthodontic for everyone.

I’ve been going to canyon vista for years now and I’ve always had good experiences with them. I met Stefanie for the first time today and she was super upbeat and so nice. Everyone here is very kind and they always check on you to make sure you’re doing okay and show that they do want what’s best for you and are willing to work with forms of payment.

I walked in on a Friday afternoon with no appointment and a chipped front tooth. My regular dentist, along with most of the other dentists in the area, were already closed on Friday or unable to get me in last minute. The office staff was fantastic and very accommodating and Dr. Hoopes squeezed me into her schedule and left my front tooth looking even better than before I had chipped it. Because it was an unexpected visit I even had my five-year-old son with me and she was so friendly with him and showed him all the different tools that she uses. He had a fantastic time there as well! I definitely will go back!

Been going here for years for my cleanings, they always do a good job. I had crowns done on my two front teeth, had a temporary for many years prior. Dr Hoopes is a perfectionist, they turned out great.

I feel comfortable coming in for my cleanings. The doctors and dental technicians are amazing! Very thorough and gentle. They have the latest technology. I highly recommend.

If I could give this facility a zero star rating, I would.

I have been going to this office for 3 years and have had many procedures done here. I've seen Dr. Hoopes, Dr. Harsh, Dr. Cefalo, and nearly every other doctor that gets their name put on the door for just a few weeks before they move on. I've even seen Dr. Schwartz for a new retainer, and Derek Lamb has done a root canal for me. Two months ago I would have said that this facility was one of the best I've ever been to. My 8 year-old has even become a new patient too.

On December 16th I took my 8 year-old in to make sure the tooth pain he was having wasn't anything serious. We were put into exam room #5, and I immediately noticed that it was very dirty. There were little detritus on the counter, tiles stuck to the floor oddly with orange glue, and the floor itself was very dirty. There was even a dead fly resting on the baseboard under the purse hook! I noticed, but gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided not to say anything because everyone makes mistakes.

However, 27 DAYS LATER I bought my 2 year-old in for an exam and we were again put in exam room #5. THE DEAD FLY WAS STILL THERE! We finished our exam and then I asked to speak to Dr. Hoopes, who is the owner dentist. I explained that we would not be back and told her why, and she sputtered out an apology but the bottom line is this is a health facility and has certain cleanliness standards that I assumed were being followed. If what I can see is dirty, what about what I can't see? I have lost all trust in Dr. Hoopes and her practice. For years when I asked why a dentist I had been seeing wasn't there anymore I was told that they had decided to move on, or they rotated because of some reason. I now see that they move on for reasons that aren't as harmless.

I trusted these people with my children's health -- and mine. They betrayed that trust, and I will never go back.

I am not a big fan of dentist but unfortunately I had a problem that needed attention. I was refereed to Canyon Vista through my insurance company. The staff was very professional and I want to specifically thank Dr Anderson for his care. They walked me through my options and gave me all the information I needed to make a decision that was best for me. Dr. Anderson and his assistant completed the dental work I needed with the absolute minimal discomfort. Thank you for your wonderful care.
