Bautista Sonia R DDS

Bautista is the best dentist I have ever had. She is well worth the wait that sometimes happens in any dentist office. I’ve seen her for over 10 years, and a few others in the area. I’ve had extensive dental work, and she by far the best.
Without her excellent work I would not have the smile I have today. She also helped with my anxieties and pain.

Please be confident that if you use this dentist practice each person on the team will be friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive to your comfort. My impression of Dr Bautista was of a highly experienced and thoughtful provider who communicated thoroughly and for my highest health goals.

I was pretty happy with the service they provided, until they messed up a submission to me insurance and were unable to figure out a solution. This was weird because there were submissions before and after with no issue. The staff did not take notes on the issues that we were experiencing and I had to continuously remind them of the situation we were in, they told me not to worry about any late fees. I called my insurance company over a span of two years, the company reached out to them and got no response. They kept billing the insurance company incorrectly. I finally insisted that the insurance company force the invoice through and got it paid for them, not my job, they now have the audacity to bill me for the fees associated with work they were unable to figure out and made me do for them.

I have been reaching out to them over the course of this last week to reconcile the bill they sent me, but they just dont pick up the phone. I'm very frustrated with them.

Best dentist in town with an incredibly competent staff. Willing to work with you and your insurance to ensure you receive quality care without cleaning the bank. I have had to bring along my 5 year old to most of my appointments. They have not only been tolerant but have exceeded any expectations I could have hoped for by entertaining him while I was in the chair.

Dr. Bautista is the second dentist I have used in Humboldt. Compared to here and my previous dentists the last 15 years she is my favorite. I have needed a lot of work done and she has done it little by little, referred me out as needed and I have been very pleased. I feel like she takes extra time to make sure it is done well and is friendly. Her entire staff is friendly and responsive as well. They have began texting me lately which is very helpful.

I see someone complained about waiting a long time. That happens. If somebody comes in with something urgent they will prioritize them as every dentist or medical professional. If one day I need something urgent I’m sure I will appreciate that and feel bad for whoever had to wait also. It just happens. It has happened to me too. It’s not a big deal and I am just as busy and take off work to see them like most everyone else.

Today there was a hygienist I saw which was the first time I saw her in the last couple years I have been going to this dentist. I was blown away with how awesome she was. She not only did her job working on me, but the entire time was explaining to me best practices for different items and some of them were new to me that I think will be really helpful. She was also extremely pleasant like everyone else. Every time I go there everybody greets me by my name and makes me feel welcomed.

Horrible dentist! Look elsewhere! Had many problems with both myself and husband new dentures. The latest being a crown that was just put on less than a year ago, has broken in half and came off! She over charges also, even my insurance said that, and wanted proof of work done.

Dr. Bautista and staff are always professional and caring. She is by far the best dentist our family has ever had. We feel very fortunate to have found her when we first arrived in Arcata years ago and are happy to make the drive to her new office in Eureka to continue such a positive relationship.

When I called the staff were super nice and helpful, I gave a woman my information and was told she’d call me back. 2 weeks went by and nothing. Figured they got busy so I called, and called AND called. Left messages, and still nothing. Luckily for me, I found a different dentist.
Don’t waste your time here. They may seem nice and accommodating at first but that’s as far as it will go. There are better options out there. Staff who will actually call you back, or better yet - schedule an appointment with you on the phone.

Not only do they have an Awesome Dental hygienist..Kanae, I have very sensitive teeth and she can work on me without using a topical numbing, on top of that she educates you on what you need to do and she's very thorough and does a fabulous job.. I'm very pleased with dr. Sonia Bautista she is fabulous. And thorough. as well as her staff which welcomes you with genuine smiles

Absolutely the worst dentist I've ever been to in 55 years .I waited for my appointment for 6 months then waited in a whole lobby full of people for 2 hours and then they closed. I came back for my second appointment and the dentist didn't have time to see me for more than 1 minute.I had Questions and the dentist said she would answer them in a bit.I waited again in the lobby and she never came out. The 3rd appointment was for cleaning and the assistant spent less than ten minutes for the cleaning part. I had to have it re-done at another dentist. DONT GO THERE!!!! this site wont let me post unless I click on 5 stars ...so that is an error...they get a negative 5!
