I’ve never had a dentist explain so much about what he was doing and why. Great experience at the dentist.

Today my boyfriend came in to get a scheduled root canal, he has an infection that has caused a lesion on the outside of his jaw. When arriving, he asked simple questions like can I make payments for the Crown, how much is owed today. His appointment was at 10 o'clock I told him to give me a call if they needed any funds right then and there. His insurance Made it to where he needed to pay $345 up front. At this time he doesn't have that kind of money so he gave me a call and he told me that that's what needed to be done. In the background The front desk clerk named Shelby was explaining to him how he needed to hurry up and make a decision because we don't have all the time in the world. At this specific time it was about 10:05. She then decided to explain to him that he can choose burre center or another dentist if you can't make the payment right now. At this time she had no idea that I was willing to make the payment because she would not stop trying to get him out the door. At 10:12 he got the opportunity to talk and told her that I'd be more than happy to make the payment today, she then said it's too late the spot has been filled. Not only did my boyfriend be treated incredibly disrespectfully, I was on the phone I heard everything, he has an infection in his mouth and they turned him away because he didn't immediately have the funds and needed to make a call. It's so unfortunate to see people treated this way, hes a hard working guy and had to take time off of work to go to this appointment. It's so sad because after all is said and done this incredibly disrespectful woman is probably gonna treat other people this way. I truly hope that the right people read this story and I hope that they understand how awful they made somebody feel.

I appreciate that response you're correct in that the payment was clear, however wouldn't you agree that for best results it would make sense to let the patient be prepared for the cost before the appointment? Maybe give him the cost breakdown the day before when they called for the appointment confirmation?

Just a few visits so far, but i am pleased with my experiences. Dr. Gordon is pleasant and clear and thorough in his explanations. I am expecting that he will prove to be as competant as he seems. If different, i will update my post. 😁

I HATE DENTISTS! With the drills and needles in your face!! Ugh *shudders* But Dr lewis is great! He actually let the numby gel work and I never felt the needle. My last appointment was kind of long so instead of rushing to be done before the numb wore off he gave me more and did a great job. Let me where my headphones and all.

Dr. Lewis came in when he was closed to fix my tooth that was causing pain. I’ve been seeing him for years and never once has he hurt me. I am grateful for his care.
