Horrible experience.

These people used all their fancy machines explained I had nothing wrong which was not true. My pain continued I traveled to LA quickly after to find out my gums were messed up and a root on my tooth had been exposed likely do to a recent pregnancy and breastfeeding experience. The dentist in LA were so helpful and treated me 100x better worth the cost of travel and everything.
Money;
They quoted me wrong knowing I did not have a lot of money before care [was on partnership/medical] and sent me a bill for more which I went back and paid with cash/check as requested then they still sent the extra money I paid cash/check to collections messing up my credit score which had been great prior.
This happened a while ago but has been a nightmare sense. Finding a dentist in Humboldt is challenging but worth leaving the area to see someone else I suppose.

I love how personal & professional Dr Lewis and staff are in meeting the dental care needs of myself and my family! I especially appreciate the gentle application of care, such as the best & most comfortable means of consistently numbing my gums/nerves than ever experienced in my life!! And lastly, this practice is very sensitive to emergent dental needs when they arise. I have highly recommended, and continue to recommend this practice to others.....

I haven’t been to the dentist in YEARS because Burre Dental center had traumatized me way too many times. So my anxiety of the dentist mixed with my general anxiety disorder had me avoiding. My wisdom teeth started coming in and I knew I had no choice but to see a dentist. I chose Gordon Lewis because he had excellent reviews and was able to get me in quickly. Even the person I talked to on the phone to make my appointment was so nice and welcoming. So far I’ve only went for my initial X-rays and care plan and luckily all I need done is a cleaning but everyone in the office made me feel very comfortable and were very understanding of my dentist anxiety. I even cried a little and they didn’t make me feel bad about it one bit! I would recommend this dentist to anyone! Thank you so much to everyone who works there.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lewis for several years and I have never had a better dental experience. Dr. Lewis is incredibly gentle and kind. I really appreciate how well he explains everything he does; he is patient and thorough in discussing any questions or concerns.
The rest of the staff is equally as welcoming. Jann and Shelby are friendly and helpful. All treatment plans, payment requirements, and appointment policies are thoroughly explained. I appreciate the professionalism of this office!
I would highly recommend Dr. Lewis’ office to anyone. It can be so difficult to find a dentist I feel is honest and trustworthy, and Dr. Lewis and his staff are both of these and more.

I am so thankful to have my 7 year old son be seen by Gordon Lewis. We came on a recommendation after having repeat negative experiences with Burre Center. My son was given another “cavity” diagnoses and it didn’t feel right. I decided my son needed to have this “cavity” taken care of properly in another office. From the first phone call the staff was gentle, understanding, and ready to help. At our visit I was pleasantly surprised how attentive they were to both my son and I. The hygienist gave my son the most thorough and gentle cleaning any of my kids have ever gotten. Gordon was an absolute delight with the kindest voice and took note and detail of each tooth again with more attention we have encountered before AND my son left with a clean bill of NO cavities as I had suspected. We will absolutely be coming back and appreciate honest, quality care that is so rare to find in Humboldt county. THANK YOU.

I am a 40+ year old female with a large fear of dentists. I have changed dental providers several times in the past 15 years because of this and other issues with flaky DDS in the area. Dr Lewis and his staff (especially dental hygienist Stephanie!) are kind, compassionate and very willing to work around YOUR schedule for appointments. They are great at helping you figure out what your insurance will cover too! They even called my insurance provider, got the estimate and called me back, all within 24 hours!! My entire family (2 adults, 2 young kids) go to Dr. Lewis and we all have been very, very happy. I have referred 2 others to him (including one of my kids teachers), and they also have been amazed at his service. He is a great dentist, with a wonderful office staff as well. THANK YOU DR. Wonderful dental office! I just had my first crown made in the office there. I have had plenty of dental work, in fact, I am a dental hygienist. I have never had such a pleasant experience before. I received at least 2 shots where I didn’t feel a thing! No gross impressions either! The assistant kept the suction just right so I never felt I was drowning in the water spray. The doctor was friendly, telling a few stories about his family while he worked. I like being distracted a bit like that. The front office was super friendly and she even offered me some packaged wipes to clean my glasses. I left with a beautiful crown that fit perfectly. It was my best dental experience ever! I highly recommend Dr. Gordon Lewis and staff. I will be having my prophylaxis (cleaning) soon and really look forward to visiting their office again. Great group of very capable and talented folks! Thank you, everyone, for making my appt so great!
