I really can’t say enough about Dr. Shannon and his staff! They all really make you feel at home and at ease. Dr. Shannon is gentle and you can tell he truly loves his work! He pays attention to details which most dentists miss. He really wants to ensure you’re comfortable and is very clear about what you need and don’t need done. This was something that I was amazed about! Finding a truly trustworthy dentist is not an easy task. I’ve referred him to friends and family and they all say the same! From our family a sincere Thank you!

I came to Dr. Shannon's office for cleaning in July. Dr. Shannon had a great personality. However, I had 2 major issues with how the office handled the billings. I have duo Delta PPO insurance from my employer & my husband's employer. The office took both insurance information to verify before I came for cleaning. When the XRay technician took so many Xrays, I reminded her just take what insurance allowed. Sure enough, a couple of days later, I checked with Delta and they denied a couple of Xrays as it exceeded the allowable limit. I called the office and talked to Natalie who took care of insurance. She promised to look into it.
When I got the pre-authorization from Delta Dental for my crown, I came back. Natalie asked me to pay the deductible for both my insurance and my husband's insurance which set a Red flag as the pre-authorization clearly stated nothing about the deductable. I told Natalie that, but she insisted that I had to pay the deductable for my insurance, and promised if it was a mistake the office would refund/credit. When I got home, I called Delta Dental to clarify about the deductables as the pre-authorization didn't show. Delta Dental representative checked and assured me that I didn't have to pay anything for the deductable this year. I called Natalie and asked for the refund of my credit card. Again, she told me that the office would hold that money until they got all the money from insurance to make sure that I didn't own them anything.
The day after I had my temporary crown, I forgot and chewed on that side. The temporary broke! I came back for a second temporary crown which lasted only for a week even I didn't chew, nor floss on that side. Luckily, the permanent came in time so that I didn't have to go through the pain to have the third temporary!
When I was about to leave the office, Natalie let me know that the office couldn't waive for those 2 Xrays that insurance didn't pay because they exceeded the limit of the allowance of this year. And since she already charged my credit card for the deductable which I shouldn't have to pay anything per Delta Dental, she would use that money to pay for those 2 XRays that the office took them by mistake which caused over the limit that insurane allow.
Although Dr. Shannon's office was not the first dental office made these billing mistakes, in the past, other dental offices resolved the issues by waiving the fees that they made by mistakes, and refund the credit card immediately if the clients didn't have to pay those fees. I did tell Natalie that I hoped she would learn from these mistakes and not make the same mistakes with other clients. Unfortunately, my trust with Dr. Shannon's office is broken.

Dr Shannon is my dentist for life. Good natured, fun to talk to, fun to listen to, and a GREAT dentist, too. And painless! This is going to sound weird, but I often fall asleep for a few seconds at a time in his chair while he is doing his work. No one would choose to have dental work done if they didn’t need it, but if you do need it, there is no better dentist in the Valley than Dr Shannon.

I totally love going to Dr. Shannon to have my teeth examined & cleaned. He is the calm & gentle dentist that has your mouth feeling like a cool spring with pearls for teeth when you leave his office. I love running my tongue over my teeth for days after my appointment. So smooth! Plus his office runs the best contests. You can win everything from a teeth whitening procedure to an electric toothbrush or waterpik. It's fun to enter his contests. Ask him about them!

We just moved to the area and were looking for a good and honest dentist. Dr David Shannon was an excellent choice. He was very friendly and professional the office staff were exceptional. I think We found the best place for our family’s dental care.

I have had pretty good luck with my teeth. But every so often I have had some dental emergencies. Over the years Dr Shannon has gone above and beyond in making room in his schedule to help me solve these problems in a timely manner. Sometimes outside of normal business hours.

Most recently he performed a root canal and a crown replacement for me and it looks and feels great. During the procedure I was a little nervous as it was on one of my front teeth. But Doctor Shannon took the time to answer all my questions before working to bring me piece of mind.

His staff is also very friendly and have worked with me to sort out insurance issues I’ve had in the past.

I’d definitely recommend checking him out.

My experience with Dr. SHANNON was very pleasant. His office was inviting and I felt as if I were visiting good friends. In addition to his already wonderful staff, he recently hired a new dental hygienist named Jessie and she cleaned my teeth better than they had been in years. After the cleaning, Dr. Shannon discussed issues and options in regard to some treatment recommendations, and he genuinely expressed a passion for giving me the best smile I dreamed of. He was also great as far as discussing insurance coverage and he went over and above the call of duty in his effort to make sure that I did not come too far out-of-pocket when I ultimately decided to seek treatment. It is rare to find a dentist--or any other medical practitioner, for that matter--that places a patient's needs as their top priority. As a side note: My wife started seeing Dr. Shannon as well, after I had been a patient of his for a couple of years, and she gave me quite the earful for not having forcefully recommending him sooner.

Dr. Shannon is amazing. Before I went to him I visited other dental offices to get a consultation for orthodontist work (Invisalign treatment).
Dr. Shannon offers great prices, but what convinced me was his professionalisms, how knowledgeable, kind, he made me feel like I was home. My first visit was a YES! I trusted him with my orthodontist care from the minute I met him.

I would highly recommend him to my love ones. I will be taking my children to him when the time comes for dental/orthodontist work. Great dentist in the Nortridge area. Thank you Dr. Shannon.

I've been going to Dr. Shannon for years and I think he and his staff are great. I referred a friend to his practice recently and as a thank you he sent me a pair of movie tickets! That was incredibly sweet! He's a great dentist not just for me but for my kids, too. I took them for their first ever check-up and they loved it. I highly recommend him!

Ambiance is not a word usually associated with a Dentist's office, but everything about Dr. Shannon's office is warm, welcoming, and wonderful. From the decor to the lighting to the staff, and of course, the Doctor, himself.
As for the treatment, I felt completely cared for and cared about. Dr. Shannon is very gentle and very thorough. Oh, and by the way, he has a marvelous sense of humor.
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shannon.
