The dentist and staff were very kind and really made me feel like they care about my children. They let my daughter touch the equipment and made her feel like her voice was heard. She liked it and we learned a lot about taking care of her teeth.

Warning: Long Post

I broke a tooth and went in to Shasta Community Dental to see what I needed to get done. I'm not a patient with them and had to wait for a cancellation (which is considered a "walk-in") but they got me in that same day. They then said my tooth was on the verge of needing a crown or a root canal. With a brief discussion of the pros and cons of a crown vs root canal they continued with what they said "needed" to be done. They did a temporary filling (took them 3.5 hours for one tooth!) with the instructions to wait to see if the filling felt good (and they would put a crown on it) or if it hurt still I would need a root canal. They told me to come back (as a "walk in" again) within the month to get that done. Two weeks later I called to see how long the "walk-in" line was and was informed THEN that they DON'T do crowns OR root canals for "walk-ins"! And since I'm not a patient it could take 6 months or longer of being on a "list" to be seen. Why would they put a temporary filling in my tooth (which they told me might last 4-6 weeks) if they were never going to finish or without the proper explanation to me. They said THEY WOULD fix it. NOT that I had to go else where. I ended up having to go to a dentist who doesn't take my insurance and pay out of pocket. What's worse, my new dentist said they drilled all the way to my nerve AND capped off an infection that Shasta Community Dental never thought to mentioned which would have migrated to my jaw bone. So long story longer, I had to get my tooth pulled after all that. So make sure they are very clear with you BEFORE they do anything to your mouth. The receptionist was very rude when I asked questions about what the dentist and technicians had told me a few weeks before. I ended up going to a dentist who've I've seen before. Dr. Allen Reeder in Anderson is an amazing dentist. He made my life 10x better than what I was experiencing from Shasta Community Dental.

I've never written a bad review but this place deserves it. I don't disregard all the good they are doing for us that can't afford the normal dentist but this went too far. They put me in an awful position financially and physically with shoddy work.

All the people who work for Shasta Dental are super nice. They let you know in plain English what they are doing, and it doesn't hurt. Appointments are pretty easy to get and not to far out,all they ask is that you keep yours and show up on time. There is a waiting list to get in,but they do take walk ins.

Everyone at Shasta Community Dental were wonderful & very personable!! They explained every procedure to my understanding! There were a lot of xrays to get thru, but they want to get a precise view of every tooth to see what’s going on! I was a little dizzy when brought up from an, almost, upside down position! But that’s just me, I think? I was fine & am looking forward to getting a few fillings completed in the next few visits! Thank-you to my dental tech, resident, & dentist for your undivided attention at my visit!

I am so thankful for this place. All three of my children go to Shasta Community Dental. They are generally right on schedule, kind, professional, and I have confidence In their dental work. My son is a bit afraid of the dentist, and they go above and beyond to help him through his time there.

Thanks to the Dr Crazer and his assistant I had the best dental experience I have ever had..I had really bad experiences before and it resulted in fear, anxiety and panic attacks when it came to the dentist but thanks to therapy and the great experience I had with shasta dental I've been able to over come that.. everyone is different and looks for different things in a dentist, but for me the care and compassion I received was outstanding! I was treated with respect, care, understanding, and as a person with concerns and choices! I recommend shasta dental to anyone looking for the same service! Thank you so much Shasta dental!!!

I have been to many private practices for dental work so when it comes to dentist Shasta community health and dental I have to rate them 5 stars . The staff is amazing they go that extra mile to make sure your comfortable which I appreciate being claustrophobic and have had neck surgeries leaning back puts me in a position I am not usually able to handle. They address all my needs. There dentist office is very clean. I am thankful to have SCHD to go to for my dental needs

My experience with you guys is FANTASTIC!! Love that you guys actually help and inform rather than belittle and judge. My husband and I are in the "too rich to be poor" bracket and are thankful for your sliding scale. My only complaint is what we are gonna have to do to get him in as a paitent with you. Thank you for all you do.
