Dr. Apekian and the entire team & staff at her office are amazing!!! They are very personable & caring! I had a very extensive plan to correct my teeth issues, including Invisalign, dental implants, working with a Periodontist for bone grafting, ( Dr. Apekian referred me and worked alongside with ), crowns, etc. I am so grateful for Dr. Apekian’s gentle touch, helping me through my nerves; and ultimately helping me get the smile I’ve always dreamed of!!!

Amazing facility, top of the line equipment and technology, 3 greats docs! What more could a patient ask for? Received great service today by Dr. Jenny. Highly recommend all 3 docs!

I was taken advantage of by this office. I paid for a comprehensive case that should have come with as many refinements as needed. Yet, I was ignored when I expressed what I needed, only given a Lite case with one refinement, and dismissed as a patient when I stood up for myself. A gap Dr. Apekian made with IPR never closed. A black triangle I wanted closed with my Invisalign treatment was never corrected. She chipped my front tooth, and when I brought it up to her, I was told "teeth become chipped all the time" and "Dr. Apekian does better with questions." She performed odontoplasty on the chipped tooth without warning me and, in my opinion, tried to just cover up her mistake, and noticeably shaved down both of my front teeth doing so. I had previously asked about dental bonding as a solution for my other teeth, and I was told she couldn't do this as she would have to "build up my tooth." Perhaps she isn't confident in her ability to provide this kind of treatment. However, I wish she had taken the time to assess my feelings and done this for the chipped tooth, perhaps sent me to a dentist with the capacity to do this. Instead, she removed precious enamel from my teeth, and, again, without warning me, and once enamel is removed, it is gone. I worry about the future implications of this for my oral health, and I feel lied to and manipulated. Her priority is not to provide quality care, but to live out her dreams at the expense of her patients, in my opinion, and this comes at a huge cost to patients as seen in the mistakes she made with me and my case. We are all human, but mistakes in healthcare, including dentistry, are potentially permanent. I am not only disappointed in my experience here, but traumatized. There are dental offices everywhere, and I wish I had gone somewhere where anxious patients are taken care of, not condescended to. To have an ego and allow it to get in the way of the care of your patients is, in my opinion, unacceptable, particularly being in the position of power one is in as a dental practitioner who is working in one of the most intimate spaces one can work in, such as with a gynecologist. Thank you Google for giving me a space to feel heard and be seen, as this was not the case while I was a patient at this office.

Update:

I want to write an update and let the community know that I reached out to Invisalign directly. I was told that "treatment decisions are determined by the treating doctor; your dentist or orthodontist remains fully in charge of the treatment decisions." Yet, when I expressed my issues to this office, I was told, and I am quoting again, "the Invisalign doctors make the final treatment plan decisions and Dr. Apekian has no control once treatment has been initiated." These two statements are entirely contradictory and left me feeling trapped and helpless. Transparency is everything. Dr. Apekian has created a facade around her ineptitude as a dentist. But, more importantly, she was very unkind. Donna rationalized for me that "Dr. Apekian is just going through a lot right now." This does not justify mistreating your patients. I need to iterate that, if you are reading this, you should go to a different practice. Dental work is expensive and invasive, and we as patients, already at the whims of privatized American health care, do not need to accept abuse.

Midtown Dental is always professional and polite. Keep my teeth looking and feeling good.

I love Dr Apekian’s practice. My last appointment was for cleaning and my hygienist was top notch. I would recommend them to all my family and friends.

So grateful a friend referred me here. I really loved my prior dentist... but the advanced technology and skill with the team at Midtown Dental has just been amazing. They were able to diagnose an ongoing issue that prior dentists couldn't. And, they are really good at providing options to help me manage anxiety. Best part is my out of pocket costs are the same.

I went in for x-rays and a cleaning last week. First off the office equipment is high tech, looks like the Ferrari of dental equipment and its very up to date and clean!!!!

My dental hygienist was Denise and she was awesome. She really made me feel comfortable and she did a great job. I will definitely be coming back!

This was the best dental experience I’ve ever encountered. The Dr. was detailed during my examination and explained everything regarding my dental health. She was even able to get me in for a same day cleaning :) The staff are friendly and take the time to educate you on the procedures taking place. It’s clean, modern and the equipment is state of the art. I’ll definitely be back in 6 months for my next cleaning.

I’ve been going there for about two years now and love the vibe of the office as well as the staff. I’ve had regular cleanings, a filling and an emergency filling from a chipped tooth done here. The girls who run the front desk are absolutely amazing at what they do and very helpful. The hygienist are also extremely nice as well. It’s a very calm, and relaxing environment. Dr. Apekian is amazing at what she does and I’m beyond grateful to have found such a good dental office.
