I was treated with ultimate respect and courtesy. Everybody is friendly and caring. The dentist was so professional made sure i didn't feel pain from root canal. And answered any questions i had. I want to continue to keep going there. More people need to know about this place.

My coworker referred me here and it’s the best dental health decision I ever made.
To begin, my wisdom tooth removal was so cheap, the experience blew me away.
Secondly, and most importantly , their staff is compromised of professional and warm people that inspire confidence in choosing them within minutes of walking through the door. They are in YOUR corner. They’ll answer you honestly on every subject, educate you without judgment of what you don’t know, and invite you to ask more questions.
That’s not all... In 24 hours my pain was totally gone!!! Incredible. Even more incredible, I never actually felt any any of it. Seriously, no pain from the surgery or the healing and I wasn’t put under! Plus it only took 5 minutes to remove! Seriously wow. Thanks Dr. Lu!
If you are trying to find a great place to go, especially in lower downtown Denver and you need a fast recovery to go with your cheap costs, GO TO COMFORT DENTAL on Larimer and 15th. Tell them Kristin sent you. : ) They’ve only been open 3 months and I want them to do well so I can keep going too! Who doesn’t want a pretty smile? : )

The doctor and rest of the staff were very transparent. They were friendly and didn’t judge me for how bad all my teeth were. Instead, the doctor and assistant thoroughly explained the current status of my teeth and what could happen in the future. Then, they walked through all options for improving my oral health. The doctor took the time to help me understand the efficient procedures I could do during my visit or for future visits. There were two things they did that I have never experienced in other dentist office. One was they actually showed me the total costs before moving forward with the procedure. The other is they used a mouth guard on me while performing surgery, which helped keep my mouth open the whole time and I didn’t have to worry about my jaws and lips moving or hurting.

The individuals on the phone should be fired. They are the most unprofessional, rude and distasteful people I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. To add insult to injury, they are not knowledgeable about their job and give incorrect information. Please go somewhere else and do not have any dental work done with these rude imbeciles. They were so nasty and irreverent that I just hung up in their face twice. If they don’t give a rat about professionalism and courtesy, what makes you think they’ll care about your health? 🤔 I’m calling to cancel the appointment. NOW!
Update: They reached out to me to ensure this is not systemic. I rescheduled my appointment.

I can not say enough great things about Dr. James Liu and his entire staff. I have been to a lot of dentists and this by far has been my best experience. So very friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Everything was explained step by step from the insurance to the options and during the procedure as it was being done. They made sure that I understood about the after care and follow up. I have had dental problems for years and always left the dentist not feeling like they did not have my best interest in mind. I felt so relieved to actually find someone that cares and I am confident that finally my dental issues will be done the right way this time and I will finally have a healthy mouth and beautiful smile.Dr. James Liu and your entire staff thank you so much for restoring my faith in dentistry.

Today, I'm changing my review from 5 stars to two stars. My bite was not fixed properly today and I'm feeling excruciating pain with eating. I just had lunch a few hours after my appointment. Each chew and each time my upper and lower molars just touch on the left side, I get excruciating nerve pain in at least one of the teeth that got worked on (This pain is in addition to and different from the expected head ache, jaw ache and gum pain that comes with the anaesthesia wearing off after having extensive work done--which is fine. I know that will heal soon.) I was only chewing on the opposite side from where the work was done. I ended up swallowing my food whole today. It'll be that or smoothies and soup until they can fix this.
Here are the specifics:
Today, I had two upper left jaw molars molded and prepped for crowns. I had temporary crowns put on. Dr Lui did an excellent job with the anaesthesia. I was impressed with his attention to detail, his technique and the office's cleanliness and technology.
The assistant (I'm not sure what her title is and she didn't introduce herself to me), fitted me for the temporary crowns and shaped them at the end. After the first filing I let her know that they needed more shaping. My bite was off. She said "They're only temporaries," but she did grind them a little more.
Her response that they were "only temporaries" concerned me. It let me know she did not have my best interests at heart. Her response made it clear to me that she wanted me to settle for pain and discomfort, that I would only have to wait through Thanksgiving until December to get my proper bite back.
She asked me how my bite was after that file and I let her know that it still wasn't right. She did a little more filing, then stood up and put away her tools thereby letting me know that I wasn't worth asking again. My bite was still off, but she was done.
That night, I also dicovered that I could not floss between the two molars she'd worked on. They are fused together.
I let her know that I thought they needed more filing and she responded that Dr Lui would be in to check on me.
Dental patients have to put an enormous amount of trust into the people who work inside their mouths. It's intimate and unpleasant work for most patients. I would not want to let her near my mouth again. Unless there's an expectation at this office that patients should be released in great pain thats actually avoidable, she is simply not fit for the work she was supposed to do on me today.
I thought the doctor would check my bite when he came in, but he walked in and said all was done. I let him know my teeth still felt odd. He said that was because of the work just done.
I felt like I'd gotten the bum's rush, and they'd gotten $1,500 from my insurance.
I had--and still have--high hopes for this dental office. I still need my permanent crowns put in there. I hope they can care for my teeth in an appropriate and healthy manner moving forward.
I will update this review if appropriate.
Here's the initial 5 star review I left:
11/10/20 So far, I'm really happy with my choice to use Comfort Dental at Writer's Square. I came here today for the first time. Everyone was very nice and the atmosphere was relaxed and office appeared clean.
My teeth feel very clean and my consultation with Dr Lui for crowns and orthodontia was very informative and thorough. I've already made an appointment for a couple weeks from now.

100% satisfied! Emergency route canal, clean, well cared for offices, outstanding customer service. Dr. Hughes defeated 47 years of fear of dental and a route canal. I'm happier than ever. Thanks for being a top-notch dentist/caregiver. I look forward to having my whole family back!
