OG Dental

So happy I found OG Dental! Dr. O’Grady and his staff have been amazing to me throughout the process of improving my teeth. From day one, I have received an unexpected amount of care and comfort. After many visits and procedures with Dr. O’Grady, I am beyond pleased with the services provided. For the first time in my life, I don’t dread going to the dentist!

I can’t wait to check out OG Dental! Their new dental assistant, Katie McAleer, is awesome! She is so knowledgeable and has a strong dedication to her work...not to mention an infectious personality too! I know her patients will be in good hands.

OG Dental in Sunnyside by Chaffee Park is our all time favorite!! Dr. O’Grady and his staff are so kind hearted and always professional. Sent my son up there just yesterday for a cavity, turns out he didn’t have a cavity, just needed a quick seal on an old one! Honest, kind, caring....I love these people. You won’t be disappointed!

This is the best dental office I've ever been to. Everyone of the staff are friendly, from receptionists, to dental assistants, to hygienists, and dentist! I was referred here from my brother bc I needed an extraction and implant and my current dentist was Out of Network with my Insurance. They were able to get me in right away, and take care of what I needed to get done. Everything was explained step by step and I never felt rushed like other offices. I did not have to wait long for the dentist to come in and see me. The office is CLEAN, modern, high tech, and they follow the COVID protocols. On a plus note, they pamper you with a warm neck pillow, essential oils, blanket, chapstick and many other things to make you feel comfortable. Since coming here, I have changed my primary dental care to OG and have referred my husband and dad here. Everyone I've referred loves this office.

tl;dr: Best dentist I've ever had, with a lovely staff and a great culture.

Let me open by saying that I don't generally review things on the internet, but felt compelled to after visiting OG Dental, which really is just a statement about how amazing this place is.

I recently went in following a *long* period of not being able to see a dentist, and I'm extremely glad to have met them. I went in for a checkup but got fitted for a guard for sleep and a cavity filled the same day, which for me was magic because I'm used to having to wait weeks to get anything scheduled. The procedures were gracefully done, I basically didn't feel anything the whole time and the staff was swift, friendly, and clearly knew what they were doing.

And speaking of the staff, I have to take a minute to talk about Doctor O'Grady himself. This guy is a triple-threat, the kind of unicorn doctor you always hope to find that's equal parts friendly, capable, and considerate. If you're feeling anxious about seeing a dentist, he'll put you at ease, and if you have to get work done, it'll be the most painless and easy work you've ever gotten. It's really obvious from the level of service you get here that O'Grady has a strong sense of professionalism and is genuinely dedicated to his work, and this really came through in the way he worked with me. For one, O'Grady (and the office staff in general) dedicate a lot of time to explaining what they're doing and why they're doing it, and what informs their recommendations. The extremely respectful and knowledgeable treatment was consistent throughout my visit. The staff, including my very nice hygienist, were all quite willing to answer my questions, and since I'm an anxious patient, I had a lot of them. The whole time I was there I didn't feel like a customer or a patient, I felt like I was in charge of my own health and just happened to have some professionals in the neighborhood I could ask for advice.

As for the office itself, they have a very new, very clean office in North Denver. The staff are all polite and feel involved in the process - nobody rushed me or made me feel like I was at the DMV. They have an interesting questionnaire where you tell them whether you prefer to be a "proactive" or "reactive" patient, and it seems aimed at setting expectations around treatment. They also have several little amenities there that made me much more comfortable, with a free mini fridge and netflix (with headphones even) and if it's your thing, a heated towel for your neck.

If you, like me, don't have insurance, they offer a subscription plan, which I recommend because it's honestly a pretty good deal, and comes with a very cool 3D x-ray, along with a few other perks.

So if you're looking for a dentist OG Dental is highly, *highly* recommended.

Dr. O'Grady and team really made my dental experience wonderful. I'm a pretty big procrastinator and hadn't been to the dentist in YEARS with the exception of having to go for a crown a few years back. I had developed a bad taste in the back of my mouth, and after some time of not having a proper dental cleaning, figured it was time to go in. My first visit was a normal dental cleaning and it was a great experience; when you sign in for your appointment, you're given a list of amentities to choose from during your visit (blanket, warm neck cushion, essential oil, chapstick, headphones and TV on the ceiling). I felt the hygenist did a great job at easing my stress. It was discovered I had a 1/2 decayed tooth, and had to schedule a root canal for the following week. I really appreciated the doctor advising to save my tooth if possible rather than extract completely.
The root canal went great (recommend getting the gas) and there was minimal soreness only the night of the procedure. Again, the amenities of a stress ball and TV on the ceiling with soothing music (Moving Art on Netflix was playing) was very relaxing. I go back in a few weeks for permanent crown. Overall, very pleased with going to the dentist and now I'll make it a normal occurence!

Finally a dentist that is challenging the typical (sometimes dreaded) dental experience! A refreshment area in the waiting room, a comfort menu...heated neck pillows, blankets, essential oils, music and tv in exam rooms. And not only do they describe what they are seeing and doing, but they take pictures to make sure you fully understand. Who knew going to the dentist could be so pleasant! Definitely give them a try!!!!
