I was a patient in 2013-2014. I had several fillings that were only about 6 years old, and somehow every time I went in for a cleaning, there were always 2 fillings that needed to be replaced and they were always near each other. It just seems a little suspicious.
Next, when one filling was being replaced the dentist suddenly told the assistant to do something and then explained that the removal of the filling had gone too deep and I suddenly needed an emergency root canal. I didn't have any heads up or anything before the filling replacement that it could get to that point, just boom an emergency root canal that cost nearly $1000 after insurance. I was all numbed up and they brought the paperwork to me to sign for concent for the root canal....what choice did I have at that point?
I had to go back later because that tooth was causing pain. I was told it was a minor infection in the gum tissue around the tooth, they cleaned it up and sent me on my way. That tooth continued to have pain on and off for several years. I moved away, and have been to other dentist now who have never found problems with my fillings saying they needed replacement...so it just seems odd.
So eventually the root canal tooth became unbearably painful and I made an emergency appointment with another dentist. The root canal failed and the tooth had to be pulled. The infection from the failed root canal was so bad that it ate away part of my jaw bone and I had to get a bone graft. Now I have the choice of going without the tooth (a large molar) which would eventually lead to the weakening of the bone around other teeth and I will lose them too, get a bridge that will be attached to other teeth, which will lead to me losing them as well, or spend a lot of money to get an implant.
Lastly, this office had some major HIPPA violations. As I was being walked back to a treatment room, I saw a computer with my record pulled up in the hallway near the x-ray machine. Anyone walking by could have seen all of my information. This a a HUGE violation that can result in fines.
In all, I feel like this dentist office may have been taking advantage of my insurance by replacing fillings that may not have needed it, I should have been given a heads up that the filling they were replacing had a possibility of becoming a root canal, they obviously did something wrong which lead to pain and eventually losing the tooth completely, and lastly the HIPPA violations are completely unacceptable. I'm now out thousands of dollars and a tooth, and I believe this dentist is at fault.
Below an x-ray of the root canal tooth. See the dark area between the roots of the tooth....that should be bone, but infection had eaten it away. No an abscess, just a seriously failed root canal.

Addition/reply: I somehow knew they would deny that I was a patient. At the time I was a patient, I had my maiden name of Kinzer. I was certainly a patient at this clinic. I lived in Fountain at that time, and my address was near by.

I had an awesome experience at New Beginning today. In fact my husband and I had an appointment there today. The service was phenomenal. Everyone there was so nice and caring. When you walk in there you are treated like family. Dr. Hill is the most caring and professional dentist that I know. Mrs. Renee is just an angel. She greets you with a caring, respectful, and professional attitude. The atmosphere there is so relaxing. The service you receive there is First Class. I highly recommend New Beginning to anyone looking for an amazing dentist and staff.

For years I had been apprehensive going to dentist appointments. The news of the condition of my teeth was always going to be uncomfortable and expensive to correct.. My first visit with Dr .Hill quieted my concerns. I was placed on a plan that I could afford. Dr Hill took extra care--not completely painless, but I soon trusted Dr Hill and began to relax and not dread my appointments. Soon the reconstructive work was complete and for the previous three years my six month checkups show no issues.

Beautiful and comfortable waiting area. Staff is compassionate and friendly. Dr. Hill does a great job explaining everything and keeps you comfortable throughout the procedures. I am a very anxious patient and they did an amazing job keeping me calm. Very caring and thorough. I highly recommend this office! Thank you New Beginnings! Myself and my husband learned a lot about our dental health in one visit. Amazing!

Trusting Dr. Hill was an expensive and painful mistake. I was (unfortunately) a patient at New Beginnings Dental in early 2020. At my initial exam, Dr. Hill told me I needed 7 fillings replaced, and a crown. Not knowing any better, I agreed. I scheduled an appointment to get treatment started, but did not know that he planned to do all 7 fillings and the prep for the crown in one sitting - which took 4 hours. I received multiple lidocaine injections, and zero explanation during the procedure, except for intermittent reprimands for not keeping my jaw open wide enough. The whole experience was extremely uncomfortable. Of course, with all the local anesthesia on board, I could not feel anything afterwards and none of the fillings fit correctly. The next day I was in extreme pain and unable to chew anything. I had to go back and get some of the fillings adjusted. I continued to have on and off pain, especially after the crown was placed. However, due to covid, the office shut down. During that time I was only able to eat soft foods. In May of 2020, dental offices were allowed to open again for emergencies, so Dr. Hill agreed to see me. I told him I continued to have problems with the crown and pain when biting on that side. His proposed solution was more extensive and invasive treatment (root canal and crown) on the tooth opposite of the crown, even though the X-Ray showed no problems with that tooth's roots. At that point, I finally decided to walk away from this dental office. Fast forward to October 2021, and the expensive crown Dr. Hill placed in the Spring of 2020 fell off - after only about 20 months. I took it to my current dentist, and he told me the crown had never been set correctly. He tried his best to adjust it and recement it, but he told me that it likely would not last. He was right, it came off again 2 months later, and I now need a new crown. I have 2 other crowns that I have had for 15 and 5 years respectively, and I never had any problems. Dr. Hill's crown caused me discomfort from the beginning, and did not even last 2 years. I would not recommend this dental practice to anybody.

Being a patient at New Beginnings is like joining a family. Renee at the front desk is always so charming and endearing. Dr Hill is very personable and he makes you feel very secure and confident in his assessments and plans of care. The staff hygienist is very professional and well versed and was a great warm up doing the needed films and studies for the Doctor to review. As strange as it might sound, going to the dentist is a pleasure with these guys. I would highly recommend them. By the way, I am a Family Practice Physician. I hope that helps you decide where to go for your dental care.

Dr. Hill did very extensive work on my mouth. Removal of 14 teeth, double oral surgery and I am getting my bottom partial in two weeks. All of the staff is super friendly and do everything possible to keep me comfortable during my appointment. I have already referred my family and friends to Dr. HILL.

First place I actually liked and plan to revisit!
I've been to a lot of dentists in Colorado springs and the surrounding areas and have always been disappointed. Here, the staff was great and made feel comfortable. I can't recommend them enough!!
