Marketplace Dental Group and Orthodontics

I'm writing this review in December 2019. I had great experiences during each of my several appointments at Marketplace Dental during the year. Dr. Dickmann was absolutely top-notch. She's both charming and professional and did some ace dental work, which included for me a couple of crowns. I left the office each time feeling it had been a really enjoyable experience, which is something I would never have said in the past about going to the dentist. Dr. Dickmann took care of all questions and concerns that I had, and was thorough with the various work items during my different visits, which included cleaning, x-rays, the crowns and the insurance. I have no personal connections to the staff here, I'm writing this because they all did a great job. I highly recommend Marketplace Dental in Superior and suggest to ignore the negative posts from previous years.

I've had mixed experiences here but are generally happy with them. I've had several crowns done, my daughter's wisdom teeth, and general cleanings for the family. The technology they have for xrays, crown fabrication, viewing dental history and records and discussing service costs is all way better than previous dentists. I don't understand others saying they were surprised by charges - they go over them quite specifically with me before any treatment and I tell them what I will and won't pay for. I do agree that they try to push the gum cleaning.

There seems to be a fair amount of turnover but I am happy with Dr Fisher and the service my daughter got with the wisdom teeth removal. My most recent crown fits perfectly, and getting it all done in a couple hours on a single day is a great benefit. I do monitor their billing to make sure it is correct, but have easily resolved any questions or issues with them.

Bait and Switch
Wendy at the front counter is so money driven she’s absolute detriment to the company. I called Trish to explain and she basically told me she’s ok with Wendy’s bait and switch tactics. We had two consultations, the first being x rays and pics. The second one we went over the plan and pricing. I was told with detail what the pricing would be for palate spreaders $650 if we did all the services and $950 stand alone. Wendy printed this out and we made the third appointment for the fitting.
When we armed for the fitting I was told they will not honor the stand alone palate spreading and would only do the $650 as long as I sign a big legal agreement to do all the work no matter how satisfied we are at any time in legally bound to pay in full no matter what. You basically cost your company over $9000 plus future dental visits. So Wendy and Trish being short sited and greedy cost the owner thousands. Do not bother with this place!

People at marketplace dental have acted professionally and are also very friendly and helpful.

I read the bad reviews on google and almost canceled my appointment because of it. If you are reading bad reviews and questioning if you should go here, GIVE THEM A CHANCE!!!! The dentist went out of her way to make me feel comfortable from the moment I checked in! She even texted me after the appointment to make sure my antibiotics got sent to the right place. Very sweet staff as well! They were super patient with me when I was nervous about my root canal. They definitely don’t deserve the bad feedback online! Great people and very knowledgeable

I have been going to Marketplace Dental for around 2 years now and have always had the best experience! Dr. Dickmann and the whole staff are very attentive, friendly, and professional. Dr. Dickmann is very detail orientated which personally, is exactly what I want in a dentist. She is always striving for perfection in her work and will take the extra time with you to ensure you are happy with the work being done and the way everything feels (crown, filling, etc.). The team at Marketplace Dental is great at helping make a dental plan based what is most urgent as well as what works best with your insurance plan. Unlike some other dentist I have been to there are no surprise bills or pressure into getting work done, it has always been a mutually agreed upon transparent plan and price. I highly recommend this dentist office! Thank you Dr. Dickmann and the rest of the team!

First- let me say that I am not friends with anyone nor have I ever worked with anyone at Marketplace Dental …this review is completely unbiased or solicited. With that said…wowwww, they are truly amazing there. Going to the dentist is rarely fun or an enjoyable experience; but the entire staff at Marketplace Dental is truly compassionate and friendly. Misty is extremely helpful with Insurance issues, professional and caring. I needed a root canal – it was an emergency and Dr. Dickman even came in on a Saturday to do it for me. She has been extremely compassionate and professional with my ordeal, even called to check up on me. I’ve never had any doctor do that. I’ve been back multiple times and always receive the same amazing care. I saw there were some less than flattering reviews on here that were outdated; that’s why I felt the need to write this…I never write reviews but please if you ever need a great dentist, a helpful and friendly staff then please go to the Marketplace Dental in Superior.

Kathryn was very professional and very knowledgeable. She answered all the questions I had and had me leaving with great satisfaction. From confirming my insurance, the exam, cleaning, x-rays, to setting up my next appointment, everything went smoothly! I would highly recommend!

I've been to Marketplace Dental myself (just for cleaning and exam) and was very happy with the people, the technology (far ahead of my prior dentist), the service, and the price. I know that some people have posted reviews from a year or two ago complaining of "upselling" but for what it's worth I didn't have that experience at all.

This dental practice also includes a pediatric dentistry clinic called My Kids Dentist.

The pediatric side, while more expensive because of the dentists' specialized training, is wonderful. I've had two kids get fillings there, including my daughter who was quite afraid and had cavities that required some drilling. Although it wasn't entirely easy, the dentist did a wonderful job, and my daughter came home feeling as good about the experience as possible. They have some nice small touches for the kids, such as kids waiting room and a TV screen mounted on the ceiling above the dentist chair so the kids can watch movies (my daughter was watching "Turbo") while the work is being done. And although it's more expensive than the "regular" dentistry, it's much less expensive than some of the truly exorbitant prices for pediatric dentistry in/near Boulder.

My wife has had a crown done at Marketplace. While it did need to be modified after about a year, they did the work quickly, cheerfully, and with no additional cost to the modification. Also, they have some amazing in-house technology which lets them make crowns while you wait. No more two-appointment crowns with long waits for some remote lab to make the crown.

Look, nobody likes having to go to the dentist so it's really not fair to compare your experience at a dentist to something you actually like doing. But if I put it in the context of other options out there and the several other dentistry practices I've been to in the area over the past decade, I'm very happy with Marketplace Dental and My Kids Dentist.
