Awful front office! If you want to constantly call and get different answers, billed incorrectly every time you do something, and have rude service this is the place for you. My family of 4 has had issues with each one of us. Overcharged for my sons wisdom teeth, attempting to overcharge me for one crown, and twice we were billed for copays we paid in office.

Atrocious customer service. Decided they’d call me only a few hours before an appointment I had made months ago and took off work for, and cancel it. Then said they could only do a month later, or 6 months later and those are my only options. Terrible customer service for a place I’ve been going to for years and have spent thousands with.

Been going to this place for 3 years and it was 5 stars. Our favorite dentist Jack retired and now the place has gone down hill. Between the two of us, we have had 3 cavities in our lives. Recently we were both told we have mild periodantal disease and need scaling and laser therapy. The hygenist also gave me the strong sale on $800 in gum restoration work (after the dentist said I had excellent xrays and teeth). I asked what happened in 6 months since I was last there and she couldn't give me a answer. Instead she sent in another former hygenist who ensured me I'd lose all my teeth without treatment. Finally when I refused, I was told they wouldn't clean my teeth again unless I did this treatment. I still refused and proceeded to get the worst cleaning of my life. There has been quite a bit of turnover recently. I think they have new hygenists that can operate a new gum laser - hence the hard sales.

The people at this office are out to sell you unnecessary treatments. I was told by the dentist and further persuaded by the hygienist that I absolutely NEEEDED to have two axillary treatments done (which were extremely effective, they claimed). Looking these treatments up on my phone while in the office, I saw that neither of them have been shown to have clinically significant results.

I was lied to and almost paid $300 for things that wouldn't likely help me.
This is the most dishonest and scummy dentist I've been to

Fixed a crown in no time. Friendly and helpful staff.

Don't be scared by the negative reviews. Most of the dentists people complain about are gone, and you should assess the reviews critically. More on that later.

I saw Dr. McNeely for a check-up, cleaning, and to discuss any possible new options for preventing me from grinding my teeth at night. (I have a night guard from a prior dentist that makes me crazy.) He was very thorough and he really listened to my concerns.

He's also quite young, which is a good thing. Harvard researchers found that patients of younger doctors have lower mortality rates, suggesting that younger doctors are more up-to-date on the latest procedures and epidemics (BMJ 2017;357:j1797). This means that when you're looking for a good doctor, find an older doctor who is dedicated to continued education or a young doctor, like Dr. McNeely, who is not too far removed from his medical schooling.

Now, about assessing bad reviews: I always read reviews with a bit of skepticism about the reviewer. I suggest you do the same while keeping in mind that it's necessary prioritize your oral health. Poor oral hygiene can lead to heart disease, deadly infections, cancer, etc. Bad teeth can impact your psychological health, too, especially in the social media age.

When I read complaints about "upselling," I think it may be a matter of priorities. For me, I add on whatever I can. Please give me fluoride. Make sure my fillings aren't old-school silver. Yes, I want my teeth whiter.

The thing is, they didn't upsell me, as others have complained here. My teeth are pretty good, but I could definitely use whitening (coffee, tea, and wine drinker), though I must say my teeth are whiter than most people my age. I'm beginning to think that maybe the "upselling" is really just what I would consider absolutely necessary fixes to have a beautiful smile.

Another thing is that "bad dental work" isn't necessarily an issue with the work, but an issue with your care of it. If you have a crown, that's a pretty major fix, so if you grind your teeth at night, like I do, you're going to mess up your crown if you don't wear a night guard. If you have a heart bypass, but you continue to eat fast food every day, do you blame the surgeon when you have another heart attack?

Go ahead and read all the one star reviews, but really think about them critically. What's important to you? Do you want a beautiful smile or are you okay just getting by with the bare minimum of care for your teeth?

Awful experience. Had bridge made by there in house machine, broke within 2 days. Went back in to have a bridge made in the lab, put in, has fallen out twice. I am back a third time so they can remake the bridge again and attempt to do it right. And I agree with other posts, they overcharge and recommend things you do not need just for the money. Don't be fooled by their demeanor. "Dirt dentist"

Thanks to Rose and Dr. Grubbs who made a nerve wracking procedure simple and easy!

Dr. Dersholon is so wonderful with my children, even when they are challenging. He is patient and experienced.

This place only cares about money. Have been there and was overcharged according to my insurance. My wife went there and had some cavities filled. They charged insurace for cleaning, but cleaning was NEVER DONE! Also performed multiple serivces which insurance does not cover and never advised my wife about that. Their service is fine, but you get screwed financially. Would not recommend.
