Santa Rosa Family Dentistry

First visit to SRFD was a good experience for us. We were able to secure an appointment quickly due to a cancelation. Everyone that I encountered was professional and friendly.

My 3 children and myself are patients here. I am very happy with the entire office. My kids don't mind coming to see the dentist because of how comfortable the staff make them feel. Very friendly and welcoming!

I now understand why people record everything & I truly WISH the lobby had a camera showing how the front desk associate mishandled this.
We’ve been patients for at least 3 years. No issues until two days ago & was compounded by Dr. Quinlan's actions today.
I disagreed with a fee after my appt 2 days ago (more about this later) and the situation was escalated by one female associate- particularly hostile (Taylor)
After this, I asked that Dr. Quinlan call me because he wasn't around when this occurred. However, he didn’t call, instead, he waited until my husband's appointment this morning to tell HIM (not me- I wasn't at this appt) that his wife was berating people!? whoa, nope, I truly would never. Even if I was- I wasn't- but is this 1955? Why address this with my husband? So he can lecture me about what a dentist claims I did?- even though neither of them were there when this occurred?! Not only is reporting to a spouse extremely bizarre & unprofessional- it was also dishonest!
2 days prior, this is exactly what happened… I was being met with hostility from the front desk associates refusing to understand my point of view. I end up crying (weak I guess) because we’ve spent a couple thousand out of pocket at this office over the past few months in addition to the thousands of paid insurance claims from our family. Now we are financially struggling & it's a bad time for unnecessary charges. But I was extremely reasonable.
This is a recap of what I tried to address during my failed phone conversation with Dr. Quinlan:

1. Perhaps it could be specified which appointments are assigned to whom in order to avoid any confusion in the future when two appointments are scheduled within 10 minutes of each other. We had two dental cleaning appointments, one at 11:10, one at 11:20... my daughter (19 so it's an adult dental appt too) arrived at 11 for the 11:10. I arrived at 11:15 for the 11:20. Was met with aggravation from front desk because my appt was actually the 11:10 so I was mistaken and now 5 minutes late. I was later repetitively told their policy of cancelling when 10 min late & was talked over anytime I tried to explain that neither of us were.

2. If a patient is going to be charged a cancellation fee (especially if they are in the office before the appt time). Perhaps tell them what the charge will be at right then rather than after the fact.

My daughter was there at 11:10 for her appointment- now at 11:20, so 10 min early. We were told it would be $63 because insurance maxed out. I ultimately said "okay I guess we can just cancel if we won't be charged". Daughter leaves, as I was being rushed in for xrays. After my appointment I'm told we were charged $50 for cancellation of my daughter's appt.
I simply point out that they said nothing about the $50 when my daughter was standing next to me ready for her appt & I would’ve rather pay $63 for a cleaning instead of $50 for no service. They waive the fee, but acted like I was some type of entitled “Karen”& they continued with attitude.

3. I said when an associate storms off, they may want to shut the solid door that leads to the back desk offices. I clearly saw the demeanor, attitude, and smirks of the front desk associate (Taylor) as she relayed info about me.

4. Follow up should be DIRECTLY with the patient of concern- especially when a simple phone call was requested. It's very concerning that a doctor would NOT contact the patient, then wait until that patient's spouse has an appointment to discuss the incident- without the patient of concern present. Neither Dr.Quinlan nor my husband were present at the time of the incident. Follow up should have been directly with the patient of concern- me.

I am stunned at the harsh attitudes I have encountered, including Dr. Quinlan's. I have been understanding, kind, and respectful. But he believes his desk girl Taylor "would never" so he has now lost business from 7 loyal patients.

What a great experience! Everyone was so professional and friendly. Choosing a new dentist is so daunting. I am so glad to have found this office. Dr Ethan was so nice.

Everyone here was great! I had an accident while on vacation, and needed emergency dental care. They made me a same day appointment and accepted my insurance. Doctor and all staff were so nice and helpful! I would definitely be a regular patient if I lived here, they’re the best!.

Dr. GOMEZ IS AWESOME!! I had been procrastinating finding a dentist for a while, when an emergency could let me put it off no longer. I was referred to this office and have now been there three times. I could not be happier!! My teeth are already so much healthier and look so much better after such a short time. EVERYTHING from the front desk staff to the technicians to my new dentist, Dr. Gomez, are the BEST!! I have been to many dentists over the years,but Dr. Gomez is my all-time favorite! She is kind, quick, efficient and pain-free. I've had no discomfort from any work she's done, even when she explained that I would. She is honest and hasn't done anything that is not necessary. Dr. Gomez explains in detail everything that needs to be done so that I understand, never talking down to me. My dental hygienist, Ann, is gentle and kind and patient with me. Every staff member is very concerned about my comfort and the front desk staff are so very courteous and genuine. I have been referring everyone I know to them and will continue to do so. Thank you all for helping me to look forward to my dental visits!! I appreciate each and every one of you.

I recently moved to Navarre and was worried about finding a new dentist. Santa Rosa Dentistry was recommended to me by a friend. The staff was really great, and the Dentist and his assistant were super nice, friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely use them for all my needs.

Family Dentistry, Dr. Ethan are the best! Your not just a patient, you feel like family! Would recommend to anyone hands down!

The staff was very friendly and professional. Today was my first visit and they explained every detail of my treatment plan and discussed pricing. The office is extremely clean and organized.
