UNORGANIZED for starters. I booked my appoint a month in advance, understandable with the state of the world right now. They are extremely short staffed, they only have ONE hygienist that works once a week (so they tell me). I show up for my appointment on time & they tell me that they have double booked my appointment because I didn't confirm verbally. I spoke to someone TWO days before my appointment to give my insurance information so I am very confused as to how they didn't get a "confirmation."
How in the world did they double book an appointment last min that took me a month to get? Besides this, every-time I show up for an appointment there is always something unorganized happening. I just cant take it anymore, good look to the new and current patients because I cannot tolerate un-organized bologna.

Worst dentist office. I was told they would call to put my prescription in and I would receive a call back in regards to getting a root canal and tooth extraction. 2 hours go by without a call from the office. So I called them to asked have prescription been send over and when can I schedule my procedure. The very unprofessional front desk work stated they haven’t put in my prescription and I would receive a call back before 5. I asked her why couldn’t they just tell me now. She states they have to look over my chart. I leave there at 12pm.

Very unprofessional!!!!!!!!Staff!!!!!!!!
The dental hygienist Pavina called me to change my appointment time due to her having a doctors appointment. I arrived at a later time and spent 2 hours waiting in the lobby while she called everyone else to be seen. At one point I was the only one in the lobby and as soon as somebody came and checked in she called them straight to the back. I don’t know what her issue was with me but I will never be back and they must be overbooking. I will not advise this facility to anyone

I've now had two appointments rescheduled and been trying to have my teeth cleaned since the beginning of the year. First appointment I understand they changed their hours and no longer have late appointments so I rescheduled. Due to work constraints had to schedule time to get off early for an appointment. When my wife called to schedule her appointment, they had to cancel my appointment because, "the dentist has somewhere to be at 4pm". The receptionist didn't seem to care very much when we stated we were going to find another dentist. Glad I was able to waste an afternoon of my PTO and the two months to try to get an appointment.

Total waist of time and wouldn't even attempt to schedule an appointment with "Smyrna Dentist Office". Not sure how a place can operate a business like that.

They are ok when it comes to cleanings and exams, but if you need dental work, I suggest you go elsewhere. What could have been done in 2 appointments has been stretched to 3 appointments I initially went in for a bridge and root canal, but had to get an extraction instead. I was told to come back in 8 weeks for a bridge. When I came back 8 weeks later they explained that what they meant to say was that this 8 week check up was just to fit me for a bridge. They removed my temporary crowns and put them right back on. I could have been fitted for a bridge 8 weeks ago. Now I have to wait 2 more weeks to actually get a bridge. Let me also add that the girl tried to take off my temporary crown without numbing my gums. I had to stop her. What a waste of sick time.

This is my 8th time being here at Smyrna Dentist Office and everytime they greet me with a smile and sometimes an university of Alabama mask. 🙃

Made an appointment. Finally After a month and a half on the day of my appointment just a few hours before they told me I had to come 1 hour earlier to get X-rays done for a cleaning. I had already arranged things at work to get there at the time of my appointment but they said they wouldn’t see me if I didn’t get there 1 hour before and then they hanged up on me.

I went to Smyrna Dentist Office back when it first opened to take advantage of their $59 cleaning and Xrays offer for new patients. This past Friday, I visited a 2nd time for my semi-annual exam. Both visits were exceptional - the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and their facility is state of the art and impeccably clean. Dr. Johnson was my dentist and I highly recommend him - very professional and explains everything perfectly. I'll be returning again in 6 months for my next semi-annual exam - very happy with Smyrna Dentist Office.

First experience was for a cleaning and the hygienist ripped the floss with EVERY. SINGLE. FLOSSING. I walked out with my gums swollen in addition to a bad cleaning. At my second hygiene appointment, they told me AFTER a bunch of x-rays that the hygienist isn't in for the day. I better not see a bill to me or my insurance company for this. They also have a tendency to recommend crowns on different teeth that don't require it. This place is basically ran like those chain dentist offices that recommend services that you don't need. Stay away!
