I'm trying to reconcile the past positive reviews for this dental office and my experience today. I was looking for a new dentist and decided to try Aspen Dental. When I arrived at the office, there was no receptionist to greet me, so I signed in and sat down. After about 10 minutes, a receptionist came, looked at the sign in list, and then tossed it back on the counter. She did not acknowledge me at all. I then walked up to the counter and politely told her that I had signed in and that we were a new patient. She grabbed the sign in sheet, stared at it, tossed it back on the counter and asked me if I had filled out paperwork. I told her I had done it online, and she said "well, you still have to sign it." She then proceeded to print out paper, while I sat down. When she was done, she hollered my last name, which I believe was her way of summoning me to the counter to sign the paperwork. I apparently missed a signature, so she hollered my last name again, to sign the paperwork I had missed. Never once did she greet me, welcome me as a new patient or even acknowledge my presence. After awhile, she took off with her drink, and I never saw her again. The hygienist was irritated with us, because, as she put it, the day was ending and they did not have any time left to do cleanings for me son, which is what I thought I had made the appointment for. She was short and brusque with me, even after I had explained what a difficult time I had with the receptionist. The dentist was okay, but clearly in a hurry to fit in more patients and did not have a lot of time to spend with me. She did; however, authorize a quick teeth cleaning for my son. The practice manager was the only saving grace to this entire visit. She was polite and friendly and took some time to speak with me about my options for orthodontia for my son. On the whole, this visit was uncomfortable and unpleasant. It seems like Aspen Dental is most concerned with fitting in as many patients as possible and not really connecting with the customer. My dental insurance is very expensive and I want to go somewhere where I feel welcomed and appreciated for my business. Also, my time is just as valuable as the Aspen Dental's staff and dentist time. Many thanks to the practice manager for attempting to save this disastrous visit. I'm not sure at this point whether I will return. I had such high hopes for this visit, and I am just really disappointed with most of the visit experience.

Excellent service, quality work from Dr. Athena Chapel and her assistant, Mrs. Andrea Soto. I went in as a walk-in, with a tooth that had abscessed. They had me in and out by the end of that day, feeling so much better and satisfied with the results. I would recommend this place to any of my family or friends, and will be coming back here as a regular patient. The staff at the front desk was incredibly helpful and polite, and everyone, including the staff who took my xrays, was friendly and knowledgeable about their craft. Top-notch!

If there were an option to leave zero or negative stars, I would choose -5 stars. I went to Aspen to have a top plate made after having all of my top teeth extracted. The day following the extraction, I received verbal instructions from Aspen to leave the device in place at all times to prevent swelling while my mouth healed. Within two days, I was in severe pain. I attempted to come back into the office as I knew something was not right. I was not seen until four days later when I went to the office and sat in the waiting room in tears hoping to be "fit in" for an appointment. The technician found a severe infection on the right side of my mouth and said, "Oh, that looks bad." I was then told that the plate was supposed to be removed each night, directly contradicting the instructions I was originally given. They provided no written instructions for the days following the extraction and I feel this directly contributed to the painful infection. I was given a prescription for antibiotics and when I requested that Aspen contact my primary care physician to prescribe something non-narcotic for pain, Aspen contacted my psychiatrist. When I tried to tell the staff that they were contacting the wrong doctor, I was ignored by four people including the dentist. I instead had to go to my primary care physician and wait crying in another waiting room in order to be seen. This could have been easily avoided had the staff listened to me when I told them the name of my primary care provider. I have returned the plate to Aspen and received a full refund. However, given that the staff gave me two sets of contradictory instructions, blew me off when I called in extreme pain, and completely ignored me when I tried to tell them which doctor to contact to prescribe something for pain I will never return to this business. I would not recommend anyone use this office. It is clear that the office is more concerned with shuttling through as many clients as possible than they are concerned with providing acceptable service. Dr. Lane, a local dentist took care of the problem in a single visit and treated me like a human being, not a another dollar.

After they get paid in full you get treated like you're no longer a valued customer by them. The service is dissatisfactory and the products are not beneficial to the customer.I have had 2 sets of partials and so far they both have turned out all wrong. Then the office wants to charge you for services that you do not ask for.If you're not careful they will keep you coming to them for services for a year when they promise you that it will only take at the most 4 to 6 months for your needed procedures to occur.

What a great experience!! The office was very accommodating for myself and my two young daughters. They worked with us to make sure everyone was happy during my visit. I could not have asked for a more friendly and welcoming staff during my visit.
