Aesthetic Smiles: Pilling Wade DMD

This is the most unprofessional and least caring dentist that I have dealt with. Im in military and I had better service from a military dentist while in combat then the service provided by Dr. Pilling. First of all he does not care about his patients. After he installed a crown on my tooth, which was way too big, he decided to grind down my good tooth to make the crown fit. When I came home, and after my Novocain wore off I felt that almost a third of my tooth was missing, which is very sensitive right now. Dr. Pilling is very unprofessional and this was the worst dentist experience for me.

I have been coming to Aesthetic Smile’s for many years and I appreciate Dr. Wade Pilling’s knowledge and expertise as I am not an easy to deal with sometimes. The office staff are all great and Cid, my dental hygienist is amazing.

As a dentist, I have had the great fortune of working and learning from Dr. Wade Pilling. Dr. Pilling is arguably one top dentists in the world, and his work is always spectacular. If I did not live so far south (I like in New Orleans), I would certainly have Dr. Pilling be my regular dentist. It is hard to get a better dentist IMO than Dr. Pilling.

A few years ago I had a root canal R4. I experienced more pain after the root canal than the pain with the infection before the root canal. I also noted a change in the feel in the bone above that tooth. Ever since I have had periodic toothaches. I recently had an abcess of that tooth and an Xray that showed a history of fracture and am now faced with extraction followed by an implant and multiple out of pocket expense.

Things went well at first, but once COVID hit, the office took zero precautions. After the mask mandate in ada course ty went into effect, the office didn’t abide by it. My requests for people to wear masks were met with disdain. A phone call and several emails requesting precautions to be observed went completely unanswered. For a profession where their staff are constantly right up in people’s mouths, you would think they would care about a pandemic. Guess science and the health is their patients isn’t too important to them.

It’s all lies lol. Here’s exactly what was done for covid precautions:
1. A small table outside the door with a bottle of hand sanitizer.
2......???

Contrary to the lies in the response - the office did no pre-screening. I would know because I took my kids to their appointments. They did not ask us to wait in the car. They did not ask us to wear masks (or anyone else, as I observed every other patient come and go without a mask). They did not require staff to wear masks. I only saw masks worn when they were directly working on my kids. They came off in between. (Oh also, both Jordan and assistant wore masks below their noses the entire time, except for when I asked the assistant to pull it up). I can assure you, I and my children wore our masks appropriately the entire time we were there. Social distancing is not mentioned or enforced. These lies are ridiculous and unprofessional.

Great place and great people... they went beyond my expectations of how they can help.

So I emailed a million dentists to search for help and Aesthetic Smiles was the only one to reply with options. So I made an appointment/consultation and went. I have a fear of the dentist because of all the experiences I have had in the past. I arrived and the staff/receptionist was very kind and helpful. I felt a little more safe and less anxiety. I went back to the chair and was in good conversation with the assistant she was very kind and put me at ease and I relaxed a little more. When I met Dr. Pilling, lets just say omg gorgeous man! But I loved that he was not judgemental about how ugly and gross my smile was. He gave me options and asked me questions that other dentists havent ask but did not pass any judegement towards me or my ugly teeth. I really felt like he and his staff really listened to me not pressuring me to do anything right away or making me feel guilty. I appreciated the consultation and the information that he provided me. I learned a lot and was greatful that they took time out of their busy schedules and helped me but really really listened to my concerns and budget and etc. I would reccomend him to everyone! The office atmosphere is comfortable and lavish and warm. Hopefully, with time I can go back and see him for my teeth needs and etc. :) They are high tech and functioning and really care about you as a potential patient and etc. So give him a try and decide for yourself.

I am new to the area and had a crown pop off last night. I called in the morning and was able to be scheduled within 3 hours. Got to the office and everything was snap and pop. Got my crown recemented and found a fantastic family dentist at the same time. 🤗

Great dental office. Very helpful and very kind.

Everybody is really nice and I feel like they are friends. The hygienists and dentists do a great job and I love the hot wax on my hands to soften my hands while my teeth are cleaned. I missed it darn COVID!
