The entire staff is so friendly and caring. Dr Joe is patient and keeps you calm during your procedures. The dental assistants are very knowledgeable and take their time explaining things to you and make sure you are comfortable during your procedure.

I have been going to this practice for over 9 years. In the last 2 years I have had nothing but cancelations for my routine cleanings. I understand staff can and will get sick or injured, however I find it completely unprofessional to consistently have appointments canceled due to not having reliable staffing or prn staff when they know they have an employee that is unable to work. If you have any high standards in having your teeth cleaned on a regular schedule to prevent gum disease and have good oral health/prevention at this time I would find somewhere else to go. At least, until they manage to figure out how to provide care to their current patients consistently. If you don't mind being on a standby call list in case they have a cancelation then this is the place for you, but be sure you answer your phone and have a daily complete open schedule or they will call the next 20 people in line and you will miss out. Midwest Dental currently only has one hygienist functioning in their practice as the other one is injured and she is booked. Last year, when this started Midwest Dental did offer the dentist to complete cleanings and it was the worst 10 minute cleaning I have ever had. Hence why they have dental hygienist. Before Midwest Dental started canceling appointments regularly, the hygienist I had was great. The best I have ever had actually. Just beware now. It's all changed. I do hope the hygienist gets well that is injured and that Midwest Dental does find additional help.

Dr. Joe and his team are wonderful! Kathy the hygienist is so kind. She really makes you feel at ease and is great at explaining everything in a way that makes sense to the patient.
I came into my last appointment with my new 2 1/2 month old baby along. All the ladies at the front desk loved on her the whole time so i could get xrays and my cleaning. The baby was sound asleep and so comfortable when I was done; it made me so grateful to have such a wonderful place to go to for my oral care. I highly recommend Midwest Dental in Belvidere!!!

Ariel and Dr Joe are AWESOME!! I had to get two crowns and I was EXTREMELY nervous, they were very supportive, they kept asking if I was doing ok through the whole process. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to this dentist if you want a positive dental experience.

Mom and Dad went to Dr.Joe at Midwest Dental. Unfortunately there insurance changed. So they had to find a dentist covered by there new provider. My 1st and 2nd visit for exam, ex-rays, and cleaning were exceptional. The staff and Dr.Joe were also awesome, very thorough, answering all questions and concerns. Was able to see right away. The hygienist was very thorough with the cleaning and yet there wasn't much bleeding (I should really floss more). The front desk person did a great job of explaining my insurance benefits for the porcelain cap I need to replace (my previous dentist, from Rockford, was not good, it stayed on a year and almost a half... She was out of business when I went to get it replaced). The dentist was thorough with his check and examination and also, something I appreciate, humorous. We also discussed travel, another topic I enjoy.
