I chose this dentist because of the good reviews. I never post reviews, but I've had a very negative experience with this practice.

Context: My appointment was for a cleaning and evaluation for a crown on a previous root canal. I've only now been able to afford the crown with new insurance (and if you're living in America, you know how frustrating and sensitive insurance issues can be when they negatively affect your health).

To start, my appointment a couple months back was scheduled during what is apparently the staff lunch hour. I showed up to locked doors and no answer on the phone when I tried to call. I waited in my car, watching a carload of employees get back from lunch and go into the building. I went back up to the door a few minutes later--still locked, still no answer on the phone. By this time, several other patients were in the same position as I was. It was extremely hot outside and there was no shade by the door (we had to keep going back to our cars and back up to the door, just guessing when it might open). I think I waited about 20-30 minutes past my scheduled time.

Once the actual appointment started, no employee I interacted with could pronounce my name right. I deal with this all the time, so I typically wouldn't even notice this kind of issue--but it kept happening, and it's not a difficult name. Seems like the bare minimum of bedside manner.

The hygienist never told me what they were doing--just directed me to each step of the X-ray process curtly as if I was supposed to know their machines and how the appointment would unfold. Once I got to the room, I was under the impression that I was going to have a cleaning. Instead, the dentist checked me out and said that I couldn't have the crown on my old root canal because it had been too long and it could be "leaky." She said she didn't know if there was an infection or not, so I could take an antibiotic. She said there was no way to seal the RC--I'd have to have it retreated for about $1200 or extracted. I'm a healthy 26 year old, by the way. No reason at all to have a tooth pulled on a near-perfect root canal.

The hygienist gave me a piece of paper on different insurance plans I could "ask for" (you can't just ASK for different state plans made for people on disability!), which shows absolutely zero knowledge of how insurance works for patients and shows no compassion for what was an emotional issue health/finances issue.

When I checked out, the receptionist asked with confusion why I didn't want a cleaning. The lack of communication was laughable at this point.

Now, I've gone to an endodontist to get the root canal retreat and he refuses to do it because he said there's no reason. He was very confused as to why the dentist said I needed a retreat on a high-reaching, well-done root canal with no signs of infection or damage. He suggested the pain I was having was probably more muscular and wouldn't recommend a retreat unless absolutely necessary with total confidence. Thankfully, I went to UofL dental school for the procedure so I only paid a small amount that I'll be refunded. If I'd gone to someone who didn't care, they could have proceeded with an unnecessary root canal and charged a lot for it. Or I could have had my tooth removed :)

Suffice it to say, I won't be returning.

They’re amazing! And so sweet! I woke up with my jaw swollen from my wisdom tooth and I’m getting married less than 2 weeks and luckily they fit me right in that morning and pulled my tooth out and even cleaned my teeth! Very caring and nice people. Highly recommend!

Incredibly friendly staff who makes you feel welcome. I felt like they did a great job taking x-rays and cleaning my teeth in a timely but thorough manner. The water instrument didn't bother me at all - very painful at my previous office. The dentist was very friendly and encouraging as well.

I had 4 teeth pulled on Friday. They hours say 8-4 but after I had the teeth pulled at 11 no one was to be found after I couldn’t reach anyone by phone. My insurance couldn’t get them my pharmacy couldn’t get them. I didn’t stop bleeding till the next day and I didn’t know what to do. They hand wrote my prescription so I couldn’t even get them filled. Now I’m sitting here in pain because they were all to lazy to come back after lunch. I will not be back. If you don’t care about your people then we don’t care if y’all stay open
