I went to schedule my son’ dentist appointment and my daughter’s first appointment and when I got on the phone with the peds dentistry lady she was rude and said hello didn’t say the introduction got no name and was rude with me the whole time. I loved coming here with my son a year ago and I’m starting to wonder if I should find a new dentist. Plus puts me on hold doesn’t ask me what day would work best for me. Also was transferred several times for my daughters info.

After nearly half a century in my mouth, we bid farewell to R7 & L5 (or was it L6?)! Alas, poor molars (musta been L6)! I knew them well. Broken and decayed, they were the first - and, one hopes, the last - of their ranks to be forcibly yanked from their over-crowded home.
That humble home and the neighborhood - indeed, the entire island - surrounding it are forever indebted to UI College of Dentistry and to W. Dittman & his comrades (above, beside & below in ranks) for the exemplary performance of their duties and their compassion, care and commitment.
They have saved this island from the ravages of infection, and though it's pudding and pablum today, we may look forward to a future bright with peanuts and popcorn - thanks to these dedicated professionals and the institution which produces and supports them.

15 years ago I went to the iowa school of dentistry and they said I needed some work done on some cavities the student dilled alot on my teeth I was kinda shocked how much he drilled out . I noticed when the teacher come to look at his work he had kinda of a shocked look in his eyes but I assumed these are the professionals . Well 15 years later almost all the teeth he worked on are cracking and falling apart

I had a really good experience with the oral surgeon during my consult, but less than 24 hours before my surgery, I received an email that I needed to pay $900. There was no due date or any other information about the bill, so I called the billing office and spoke with someone about when it needed to be paid and asked if insurance was going to cover any of it. I was quite upset, so I made a concerted effort to remain calm when I called the billing office, but the woman I spoke to was so rude that I hung up. I ended up having to cancel my appointment because I am a student and I cannot pay a thousand dollars with less than 24 hours' notice.

I prefer going here over a family dentist near where I live. I travel an hour and 45 minutes to the University of Iowa dental Clinic because I feel I get better quality and much more personal care. I recently moved to Des Moines and I feel like all the dentist there are just in it for profit always trying to leverage more insurance money.

Very very bad. They wouldn't listen to me. Walked away in worse pain then when I went in. And they did nothing for me. I went there because i don't have much dental coverage. Thought I'd save money. But they just did a bunch of tests and xrays and sent new home. Very rude people. Don't go there.

I have had U of Iowa College of Dentistry & Dental Clinics as my primary dentist since around 2010, and first went there as a student to have my wisdom teeth removed in 1969. The quality control is incredible, with each step a student takes carefully checked by a professor or instructor. And, as a teaching clinic, all the equipment and techniques are the latest. And . . . the price is incredibly low because they need patients for the students to work with. It's worth a 4 or 5 hour drive just for the quality and the price!!

I've called several times! Two times got told they were all booked, one time I got put on hold and they hung up! I've left voice-mail! And today someone answered and all of a sudden mid conversation she can't hear me??? Get your stuff together I'm in serious pain and this is the only place that accepts my insurance 😤

Mr Farley and his classmate were very knowledgeable and professional.
All departments I dealt with courteous and treated me with respect.

From the scheduling staff on the phone, to the Dental Assistant and the Dentist, all made me feel welcome, comfortable and at ease while performing their individual tasks with the highest level of skill and professionalism. On time with no wait, and a doctor whose chairside manner made me feel as though I had known him for years. Highly recommend! I'll be back.
