Had some work done long ago. 3rd floor student was very knowlegeable asian guy. Worst instructor ever... asian dentist totally blew him off because he wanted to help pretty gals. Left clinic super late. Dentist was Hang Y something. Stay away. Thank me later.

I have been a patient at the University of Iowa for quite a few years in the dentistry area. The staff, including receptionist, technical, pharmacy, students, dentists and Dr. Hellstein have all been very helpful and friendly. They always answer my questions and explain the procedures.

Was first seen in November of 2021 was told that a follow up would be scheduled shortly so February 2022 came and went so I call about my follow appointment the schedule clerk informed me that they would look into it well now into June and still NO appointment it's clear they don't like working on referral case from the Department of Veterans Affairs and Veterans

Job they do is "okay" at best. What they really need to work on is customer service. Called in a day before my appointment to try to reschedule. I got that, sure, but not without a lecture that doing so in the future will "cause a mark against you". Not before asking why I can't make it to the appointment and getting judged by my vague answer from a very personal question. I can wrap my head around that maybe calling earlier to reschedule is best. However that doesn't mean someone should be made to feel bad just because of somethings out of their control.

Dr Petel is the best endodontist, I almost feel asleep she was so gentle and she puts the perfect amount of lidocaine in other offices my nose and eyelids would be numb for hours. I highly recommend her.

The staff from the receptionist to the dentist were very friendly, efficient, and kind. I am not a fan of going to the dentist and UIHC makes it a pleasant experience.

They were very caring, took time to explain our options and consequences of all options. Also explained very clearly after care procedure. My son was not accustomed to going with Dr's without me yet he done very well because They done well. I'm very pleased with them

I have been going to The University of Iowa College of Dentistry for almost ten years and have always had a good experience. Procedures may take longer and yes you also have the trip there and back but the price cannot be beat. All steps are monitored by the teaching staff so you can be sure the quality is A+.
