Went there to have a root canal done. They did it and had problems with it a year later. They only send out reminders in the mail and must not have the money to set up a switch board to call people which is way more efficient to remind of a appointment. I would say there inferior to the private practices of dentist that actually have to do a good job in order for clients to come back.

They are simply exceptionaly world class dentistry clinic. They treat you with respect that everyone deserves, very knowledgeable staff, very successful at the procedures, and will guide you through the decisions and they make sure that youre informed well.

I've had noting but good experiences with the dental college. The students and staff are friendly and they've done good work on my teeth, including filings and a root canal that have not given me any problems over many years since the work was done. I appreciate the reduced cost and will happily continue to receive care at the dental college.

Dentist/Dr. Markini makes me feel at ease. He's the most caring and intelligent dentist I've met. I have the highest anxiety for dental work and he's done amazingly at making it the best experience it could be. Worth the 2hr drive there and back.

I got a root canal done there after being in pain for a month. Then i had 4 more appointments where they didn't fix the tooth. It was just xrays and them looking at my teeth. I was told that i would need 5 or 6 more appointments to get the one tooth totally fixed. I was told i might need a crown lengthening surgery. My next appointment was then canceled because they have no more crown lengthening surgery times for this semester. My appointment was supposed to be on April 12. I was told to call to make an appointment for the fall semester. I have had a hole in my tooth still, since February. I thought i could save money by going to the college of dentistry since i don't have dental insurance but it is not worth it! Does it seriously take 10 or 11 appointments to get one tooth fixed? I will try to find a different place to get this tooth fixed since i don't want to waste more time. I know the students have to learn but i think that it is ridiculous to have so many appointments and still not have my tooth fixed.

I have over 50 years experience in dentistry. First ten years as a dental assistant, then 40 years as a dental lab technician. I have total confidence in the care I receive at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics. I have been treated by students, post-graduate students, and faculty. I have received top care at all levels. The students are guided and overseen by some of the top professionals in dentistry. I never hesitate to recommend the UI College of Dentistry to my family and friends.

This place is Awesome! I've been going here for several years and will never go back to a private Dentist. The students are thorough and have an experienced professional checking their work and giving advice. The really great thing is if you need something like a root canal, gum work, implants, crowns, ect. it can all be done in this same building.

Absolutely atrocious. Drove two hours only to be told they werent going to do two simple extractions and couldnt put me in under. Now they want me to wait months longer on top of the months I already waited to get into this in the first place

Let me start off by saying that I HATE going to the dentist. I was traumatized as a kid and have hated it ever since. I've recently moved from Iowa City to the DSM area, and have yet to find a dentist as great as Dr. Nair or Dr. Jain. Both are phenomenal at what they do. By far the most painless, comfortable and inviting experience I have ever had a dentistry clinic. I started off by using students (dentists to be at the clinic) and am fortunate to have insurance, so I eventually started going to faculty. I cannot say enough how great they are and how much they care about their patients. Thank you!

If you have the time the Iowa dental clinic is the best place for your dental care. The price and care is great the quality is phenomenal. You have a student and a experienced professor evaluate every step of your dental care at a fraction of the cost.
