The hygienist Molli Didier did an awesome job with my treatment plan and explaining everything that had to be done. Her chair side manners were excellent. Before being seen by her, I questioned whether or not, I was going to come back. It was very disappointing to hear some of the staff refer to patients in their 60s and 70s by their first name’s. I worked in healthcare for over 20 years as a dental assistant, and a CNA. that was totally unacceptable. All patients should be treated with dignity and respect. I come back on October 3 for feelings after being seated all you could hear, was the employees talking about their personal business. You couldn’t even hear the music until the Dentist walked in. The dental assistant was horrible I asked if I could rinse my mouth before the procedure she acted as though she was offended by my asking. THANKS TO Molli and the dentist I will continue to have my work done there.

I brought my son in because he was complaining of his mouth really hurting him, and his Dentist was out of town. I was under the impression when calling the office, they would be able to offer some sort of immediate relief. The facility is beautiful and well decorated. I felt like every patient should receive a pedicure, because that was the feel this place gives. However, the staff (besides the receptionist) just weren’t up to par. It’s like going to a Target with Dollar Tree quality and care. The first assistant took us back to a room, didn’t talk much at all, and proceeded with X-rays. It took her 2 times of my sons whole mouth to get the X-rays she wanted. Then we sat and we waited. Another girl came along and redid all of the X-rays, again no one was talking to us or letting us know anything, but they were quietly discussing to each other right in front of us. Then the Dentist came in, Dr. Marcie Adams. She introduced herself, then chatted quietly about my son’s teeth with the other girls right in front of us (who were wondering the whole time what the problem was with his teeth) but not loud enough for us to hear. Meanwhile another worker walks up to show her some denture mold she did and they discussed that for a minute or 2. I found that unprofessional…She’s with a patient, and this isn’t Dental school anymore. I felt like everyone there was fresh out of school and still learning. Then Dr. Marcie Adams turns to me and says “they’ll work up a treatment plan for him and come back to schedule with me.” A treatment plan for what Dentist?! What is his trouble? What’s priority to relieve his pain?! We sat in this room for an hour and a half, and not one time, did anyone tell us anything of his condition. She answered some of my questions with tooth numbers which I don’t understand. For the rest of my questions about priority and how soon should he have work done, she responds “she just does teeth and they’ll (pointing to the X-ray girls) work out the treatment plan and scheduling”. That’s all I needed to know… the workers that took 3 tries to get X-rays and never said a word to us are in charge of my son’s plan and YOU as the Dentist can’t tell me anything. I didn’t walk out right then and there as much as I wanted to. I waited 30 more minutes for this treatment plan so I could show his dentist. The girl handed me a treatment plan that they worked out with insurance. The plan indicated only numbers for my son’s teeth and medical terms for what needs to be done for the next 6 visits for him. I’m sorry but he’s 7. So it is molars, adult teeth, baby teeth, what’s necessary and what’s not?! I couldn’t believe this is what dentistry has been reduced to. It was a complete joke, and there’s no way I’d go back or allow them to operate on my son.

Editing this just to follow up, my son had a popcorn kernel in his teeth that his dentist removed immediately which was causing his pain… For some reason the multiple attempts at X-rays and evaluation from Louisiana Dental Center never noticed this painful kernel, and he had to wait until his real dentist could see him to remove it.

I honestly don’t like the dentist but they made me feel so comfortable. The dentist and the assistant was very personable. I was provided a blanket and I had the opportunity to watch the hallmark channel🤗.
Two fillings in under a hour. This was the best dental visit I’ve experienced.

Nothing short of excellence. I've had to come in multiple times to get work done and the staff here is always cordial, welcoming and understanding. My experience in particular with Dr. Owens and his team has given me confidence in my smile and faith for my recovery. Huge thank you to everyone involved.

The best considering I had bad experiences growing up that made me fear the dentist!

I absolutely love this place. They have the nicest employees at the Zachary office. Dr. Hastings was very gentle with my sore mouth during the exam. Mrs. Molli explained everything in a way that I could understand completely. I look forward to my future appts with them.

Unfortunately , I do not have dental insurance .
Have been in pain for weeks crying .Called to schedule an appointment showed up and they had me in for the wrong date but told me otherwise. This was extremely upsetting for me . I was so excited to finally go without pain but because of their miscommunication Not only do I have to wait more weeks but it hindered me from looking for a sooner appointment .Thankfully Smile Studio was able to fit me in very soon , were more comforting, understanding , clear , and compassionate . If it wasn't for the poor communication . I would today be able to live life without sleepless nights with a weight lifted off my shoulders.

I called to ask if they offer pediatric dentistry because their website says they do and the receptionist responded with “not typically if they don’t cooperate we throw them out” almost like we’re talking about a dog and not a child. The In office service I cannot attest to but the phone service needs to find better ways of phrasing responses. This would be my child’s first dentist visit so idk how she will respond but I wouldn’t want her being “thrown out” for getting scared or upset. If she didn’t want to cooperate I’d remove her from the situation myself there wouldn’t be a need to “throw her out”.
