Tried my best to make an appointment through the handy online booking tool on their website. Was rudely told by Pam that they have their full quota of patients with my type of insurance at this time, in spite of my finding their clinic in a booklet provided by my insurance company with the words "Accepting new patients" in big bold print. I wrote back again, asking how much it would cost to pay in cash. Got no answer, wrote again, and was finely curtly told "It is illegal for us to charge patients who have insurance." So in a nutshell, they're accepting new patients, just not those with my brand of insurance and cannot take cash in lieu of my insurance that their arbitrary "quota" has been reached for. I'm sure the quality of the dental service is fine, but with this level of rudeness and poor customer service at the front desk, upwards is the only way their quality could go. Best of luck to anyone trying to schedule.

Called to have my 11-year-old son seen on a short notice due to tooth pain. The woman who answered the phone was very unfriendly him and rude. After explaining the situation with my sons pain she cut me off and asked "what insurance do you have?", once I had told about insurance it was then she proceeded to tell me an available time this morning and when I misunderstood the time she had said she got very short with me. I ended up discontinuing the call as I will not bring my 11-year-old child to a dental office where the front desk staff cannot even be friendly and welcoming on a phone call. I can only imagine what it would be like walking through the front door.

By far the BEST dental office Once been to. The only dental lobby where you never hear drilling. My Dentist, Charlie is amazing both technically and his chair side manner. The entire team is superior to any other dentist office I've been to, which is several. I hope O'Brien Dental stays in Shakopee and Dentist Charlie never leaves. This office is where you want to go.
