Hello St. Paul Dentistry!

I live in Columbus Wi. & my daughter started working for St. Paul Dentistry about 6 years ago.
She moved back to Wi because her husband went back to school. My daughter loved working at St. Paul's Family Dentistry and spoke very highly of the staff.

My youngest son had Invisalign through St. Paul's Dentistry & was very happy with the care & results.

I had my first visit for Invisalign on May 25th & was greeted at the front desk by Jenna who was very helpful.
Kim took me back for imaging pictures of my teeth which immediately showed up a computer screen.
Kim was great, and showed computer generated pictures of how Invisalign will straighten my teeth in the next several weeks.

I met Dr Stanton a few years ago when I went with my son for his 1st visit there for Invisalign. We were more than impressed with the professionalism & care of the staff & Dr. Stanton

It was a 4 hour drive one way for my son & now it will be a 4 hour drive for me but to get Great Exceptional care it is worth the drive.

In 2008, I chipped my molar in a car accident and the insurance company said I could go here. Being an insurance claim from an accident, prior to my appointment, I sent all the necessary paperwork before setting up the appointment. At the appointment, I was given little to no preparation. They began by spraying a disgusting banana-numbing spray in the back of my mouth which made me gag and throw-up. I told them it burned my mouth, but they didn't offer water or assistance. Then, they all of a sudden couldn't proceed with the filling because their front desk receptionist failed to request a form from me and the insurance company prior to the appointment set-up. Apparently she was new? To top it off, the insurance company was closed and they couldn't be contacted till the next business day. They shoo'd me out of the office so quickly, with a pain in my mouth and still-chipped tooth. When I called the next day to complain and schedule a follow-up, they said they wouldn't charge me for the previous day even though they should've (although what was there to charge besides the numbing solution?). To avoid the hassle of filing ALL the insurance paperwork elsewhere, I gave them another shot. This time they completed the filling (Dr. West) and gave me the post-care instructions (which I followed - eating mostly soft items... my sore gums were already preventing me from eating solid food from the accident). Three days later, I was eating oatmeal and the filling came apart. I could feel it crumble in my mouth. I called and they said they wouldn't cover for it to be re-done so I went elsewhere.

Update: I have no idea why my post above transferred from Yelp so recently and randomly, but I posted the above review nearly 4-5 years ago. In October 2016, Dr. Stanton called me to bring this post to my attention and apologized for the above mentioned experience and asked me to update it with the dentist's name as he is now retired and no longer works there. I did mention to him that my experiences there since then have only cemented my reasons for avoiding his practice. My step-children still go here and we had a few incidents there recently... 1) an email of records was not sent to an orthodontist after we went in-person to sign the appropriate paperwork needed for release and 2) we had to reschedule a dentist appointment for the kids (which was done via email with the receptionist), however upon arrival, we were told the kids weren't on the schedule. They actually didn't believe me so I showed them my email. They scrambled and squeezed them in, back to back, about 30 minutes later. I would recommend to anyone going here, that you do most correspondence in writing, constantly confirm with the receptionists, and bring records/proof to your appointments.

Great super friendly staff. I originally came for an Invisalign Groupon and have now made them my regular dentist. Finished my Invisalign in 7 months and took the time on the small details of teeth shaping and more. The hygienists are all super friendly and they don't try to sell. They are very informative on how to properly care for your teeth and where you should focus.

I had a deep cleaning yesterday, which went very well. Maggie made sure that I was comfortable and numb throughout the whole process. Would definitely recommend!

SPFD has been nothing but fantastic to me the last few years. Love the staff and Dr Stanton is always in a great mood. Would recommend to all of my friends & family. Thank you everyone at SPFD, especially during these uncertain times!

Dr.Stanton and Amanda were awesome at explaining all my options regarding Vaneers/Invisalign. They made feel welcomed and comfortable. Definitely looking forward to working with them.

My husband and I were customers at this place last year. I got the worst experience ever here. Dr. Stanton was rude, disrespectful, and childish. I’m a foreigner, so I usually speak with my husband in our native language. When we were speaking about my treatment , Dr Stanton was next to us and mimicked us like “blah blah blah blah, Oh, I don’t understand at all” and laughed at us. He even teased us after that. He changed his attitude after I complained about it, but he is basically childish. I don’t recommend this place.

Dr. Joe Opack did great work. His assistant is excellent. Attentive to needs, professional but caring and keeps you informed about what is happening, explains wait times between procedures. She is outstanding in terms of patient care.

The entire staff of Dr Pete Stanton is so committed to your health and work in a team approach. I am always impressed by the energy and enthusiasm of the staff and office admin team.
